Great spot. Uniquely Australian street scape. Golden way hosts were very obliging. Nice, clean, quiet and great value for money. I’ll definitely choose to stay there again.

We had driven 8 hours and rang ahead to book a twin room as they had a good review on google. I have never stayed in such a dirty room.
The room had lots of cobwebs, not recent ones. The bathroom had not been cleaned as well having mould on ceilings and walls.
Carpet had not been vacuumed, wrappers and cable ties on the floor.

This place is disgusting. Filthy. We stayed there 14th July and the first thing we did upon entering the room was go to the local supermarket and purchase Dettol wipes and Glen 20. The owners should be ashamed of themselves. Room had not been vacuumed , bits of paper all over chair and floor as well as dirt and crumbs from previous occupiers. Dust everywhere and badly in need of a paint and new furnishings. Heater does not work but owner would not acknowledge this. Said it is only meant to circulate the air!!!Pictures on web site are of the back units.....not the front motel rooms.

The room was filthy. Disability room, well equipped but filthy. Fridge not clean, floor dirty bugs and all. All cupboards and draws needed cleaning. Bathroom well set out for wheelchair but not clean. Tiles and grout growing mould, drain had old bits of soap left in it , sink tap not clean. Outside room dirty table and chairs. When owners were told they didn't even bother to walk over a see what I was talking about. Just blamed staff. I had already paid , didn't want to sleep there, cleaned the bathroom myself . Dirty. On the road , googled for a disability room. Rang ahead, never again will will I pay without seeing room. Absolutely filthy. Have photos for proof. Floor dirty with bugs and dust, fridge not cleaned, bits of soap left in drain of shower, sink dirty. When I went back to reception to express my concerns they just blamed staff. I didn't want to stay, no refund offered, no real apology, just excuses. I cleaned the bathroom, and washed any cups and dishes before using. Outside room was just as bad , dirty table and chairs door mat, all filthy

there's no better place. We arrived tired and hot after a days travel and the manager/owner went out of his way to make sure my son's special needs were catered for. We spent a reasonable amount of money for accomodation that was both comfortable and cool. Loved the lounge and kitchen and bedroom but not the sofa bed so much. However despite this the overall experience was wonderful and we left the next day ready to do a full day's travel.

Highly recommended ☺ Great value for money! We paid $120 for a family room which is a very spacious room with a proper dining table and 6 comfy chairs, beautiful sunset through the windows which also have proper outside blinds, 1x queen bed, 3x single and even a cot. Shower separate from the toilet, TV with foxtel and even a pool (which we didn't use). Peter was genuine and friendly and his dog Jack a hit with the kids. Room to park our caravan out the back as well. Thank you for the hospitality and super spacious, well priced rooms.
