This place is a gem. We had the roast dinners for lunch. Delicious and generous servings. The booths provide an excellent dining atmosphere and the decor Hollywood.
Lose a star for the weekend surcharge as we were not aware of it and the extra charge for chicken salt on our chips which was suggested by the waiter.

First night had takeaway from here and had to come back second night to dine in. Lovely atmosphere, amazing food and service. Our waitress (unfortunately couldn't grab her name, dark hair with glasses) was so so lovely, helpful and professional. Food was delicious and filling - ice cream is sooo worth! Definitely worth a visit if you're in Kempsey!

Food was pretty yummy (no salt or any seasoning on chips, but after salting them myself and adding some lemon juice on them - they were good).
Great menu - something for everyone!

Great atmosphere - seating inside and outside.

I was between three and four star rating as the staff was their let down. The junior staff was all lovely, very welcoming and clearly trying their best (it was very busy).
The senior (more experienced I would say) staff was so rude! Clearly not handling a stress of a busy day and snappy with their younger team. Made me feel very uncomfortable. Hopefully not daily occurrence there.

Had a late lunch stop over. Great atmosphere with the old time movie posters and old fashioned booths. Good selection of food and range of prices. Staff that served us knew their stuff as friend was ordering a burger without some items and mentioned he would have "just the patty and cheese" and staff member said that one didn't come with cheese but this one did and pointed it out.
Extremely cheerful and polite.
Great service.
I would stop here again if travelling through Kempsey again.

This cafe is perfection! From the moment you walk through the front door, the vibe is fantastic. I find the coffee to be brilliant, and the food is so damn good. As for the presentation of the food. It's 11 out of 10👍👍👍👍👍.
I never knew this place existed until now. So whenever I'm visiting family in Kempsey. You know exactly where I'm going to be having breakfast, or going for a coffee 👍👍👍👍👍.

A throwback to the 1930ties. Plenty of nostalgia inside. The staff were very pleasant as well. Breakfast was very good and loved the bacon. All at a decent price. But hey. The coffee really sucked 4 years ago and still did this time. While we had a late lunch. Again great place. Great staff. Great food.....but coffee....hate to say. Maccas is better. Weak....tasted like milk. And you don't get that nice, satisfied coffee feeling from deep down. Creamy...but coffee bean? Pity.
