My mum went into dymocks to order a specific book for Christmas that wasn’t in stock, the lady was rude & unhelpful, kept trying to deter my mum from ordering the book saying it’ll takes month & months to come in (having worked in a book store I knew it wouldn’t take that long) and making little comments when mum was trying to be friendly as she knew the previous workers and had formed a friendship with them. When the book came in (4 weeks later), the book cover was scratched in multiple parts, there was no apologies or offerings to order another book in, again was rude & unhelpful. Bad customer service.

Got into the store with my two kids, my eldest was so exited to buy the book he found and showing it proudly to the till lady, the lady was both rude and boring towards both me and my kids.
I could go to k-mart and get the same book much cheaper, when walking into other Dymocks stores there is always a good greeting and staff who cares and makes it an experience for the children.
I even tried to say “have a Good Friday” but the old lady just rolled her eyes at me.
From now on I will on go elsewhere, Dymocks Rouse Hill will not be getting my business

I generally love Dymocks in general. At Rouse Hill the in store collection seemed a little small. I understand it’s a smaller town centre store. But otherwise pretty good experience as always.

I used to love this store and the staff used to be really helpful but now you can not even get a greeting out of them when you go up to the counter. Rather disappointing experience, I miss how the store used to be with great conversations about books with the staff.
At least the store itself still has a great selection of books!
