Food is the worst I have ever eaten, live in Adelong and they can’t cook, best place to eat in Adelong, Tumut. No seriously food is rubbish over cooked hockey pucks.

Eating out in the garden was a perfect opportunity to enjoy the hot weather.
Could’ve sat under the balcony at the front on the main street, but around the side was very nice.
The roast meal was a special of the day on Sunday and was delicious.
My wife had gluten-free chicken snitzel and loved it with her gluten-free chips.
Beer was cold and tasted good!

Stayed at the back of the pub with our van. Awsome bar staff providing best service and knowledge of the area. Managers made our stay comfortable and we felt very welcome. To top it off we won the local Friday night meat tray. This is a pub stay worthwhile.

Great stopover for lunch. Food tasted excellent and was plentiful. We were so fortunate to get an opportunity to listen to Cec, co-owner of Music and Mates at The Royal whom played a few songs for us. Her voice and talent was amazing. Thanks Cec and Al for a wonderful afternoon with our visiting friends.

We ordered 2 takeaway seafood baskets, minus chips and salad and were charged $46 for the most disappointing waste of money we could imagine. An absolute disgrace. ||As a hospitality business I would be ashamed to serve such substandard fare, especially in a small town where there is some solid competition. ||Our previous culinary experiences at the establishment, under previous management, could not be faulted. ||For us, from now on, it’s never again.

What a delight, such a fantastic old country pub. The rooms and facilities are perfect for the price. The staff have been very friendly and accommodating. Georgia the cook even saved some lamb roast for us. Congratulations to the new management.

Popped into the Royal for a drink and dinner because we were staying in town for the night. New owners had just taken over and made us feel so welcome! They served the most delicious local wine and a great schnitzel. They have some great plans for the hotel. Can only wish them well and hope we can return.

We are travelling around in motor homes. Stayed out the back of the pub overnight. Our hosts, Cec and Al cooked us up a feast and to our surprise and delight Cec pulled out her guitar and serenaded us for a while. What a brilliant experience x
