Just spent a few days here at these beautiful cottages; loved our stay - they were well appointed, comfy, quiet and a perfect base to spend some time kayaking the Tumut river, hiking and sampling the local produce. Brett the owner was friendly, helpful and went out of his way to assist. We're coming back next year to do it all again! |cheers|Russell

Our family stayed a week in The Barn at Ribbonwood Cottages. Our friendly host, Brett, welcomed us warmly. The Barn was immaculately clean and comfortably fit the four of us. We enjoyed sitting by the Tumut river on our stay, and the kids loved feeding Flash (the horse) carrots. Brett gave us some great tips for things to see and explore in the region, including a great suggestion for a swimming spot within 30 mins drive. We would stay again.

Loved our stay at The Barn (Ribbonwood Cottages). Very comfortable beds with fresh linen. Well laid out unit. Loved our time sitting by the Tumut River (approximately 150 metres from our unit). Very quiet and peaceful location, (can walk into town Centre). Picturesque setting and host very obliging. Just a few little visitors that were around (spiders) that needed a spray, but we were in a very bushy setting and bring repellent for mossies by the river.

We struck gold finding this place, it is truly beautiful. We were a family of 6 so we stayed in the Platypus Cottage, close to the river and it was so much bigger than we expected. It's set away from the other Cottages so very private and we weren't worried about the kids being too noisy, would also be a nice romantic getaway for a couple. The other cottages on the property are close together and would be perfect for a group stay. ||||Firstly Brett really makes it feel like home, everything in the cottage is very homely and welcoming. He is lovely and was more than happy to give advice on where to go and what to see. He was more than happy to take us to his horses so that the kids could feed them, this was one of their highlights! We had an issue on day 2 with the power and Brett was straight down to fix it, he had a sparky there within about half an hour and it was all fixed up in no time.||||You are welcome to walk around the property which is huge and beautiful, lots of grass for the kids to run around on, they really loved the river too. We didn't have a campfire cause it was pretty wet while we are there but that would have added to the holiday even more. Was just over an hour drive up to Selwyn snowfields and about an hour to the Caves which was also a highlight.||||It's not far away to town for groceries, shops and places to eat. Our highlight of eating out was lunch at the Oriental Hotel and it was fantastic.||||Would highly recommend Ribbonwood to anyone.

A lovely welcome by Brett the owner, who provided a lot of knowledge about the area. Couldn't be more helpful even before we arrived. Cottage was super clean and lovely, and especially enjoyed watching the cows in the paddock! Great place to stay. Thanks Brett!

We stayed at The Barn with our two girls. Brett was great to deal with. The Barn was spacious, clean and well appointed. The accommodation is located within a short drive of the Kosciusko National Park and is a great base for anyone who wants to enjoy the beautiful walking trails of the park while staying in comfort.

I don’t know why it’s taken us this long to find this place! Tumut is a hidden gem and this BnB really is something else. Our time was short but my gosh I could’ve stayed longer! There’s nothing really fancy here so if your looking for mod cons and wifi and Netflix etc this isn’t for you! But what it does have is serious down to earth charm. It’s quiet, the cottages are spacious and very well maintained. The owners leave you alone but obviously want to go out of their way to make you welcome and feel for a moment in time you belong here. The bon-Fire was a real treat for the kids and the ready access to the river and horses was wonderful. My family and I have little to complain here. I would definitely want to come back and spend more time enjoying the space and relax.

3 couples stayed in the Platypus cottage (3 bedroom/2 bathroom). Very clean and comfortable with a lovely veranda and everything inside that you need for your stay. 150 meters from the river for fishing (nothing caught) and walking distance to Tumut. Would definitely return and recommend it to others.
