Went in with a friend for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Friendly and approachable staff great customer service and atmosphere. Will come again for lunch.

Came in for a Sunday lunch, and was greeted with pleasant and prompt service. However, the meal ordered was underwhelming, and - despite asking for it to be cooked rare - it was served medium-well and charred. My partner’s pasta was clumped and a little dry, and not well seasoned. While the service is lovely and the atmosphere is overall pleasant, a pub lunch should not be so hard to get right - especially when there are so many options in town, real effort should be made to stand out.
Hoping to come back someday and be pleasantly surprised - but when that will be I can’t say.

Great Sunday lunch very enjoyable well worth the stop

Very good service and great rooms for pub accommodation at pub prices. The bed was so comfortable, bath towels also very plush. Bathroom could do with some work. New owner was very friendly and welcoming of our small group of motorcycle riders. Duck spring rolls were delicious.

Came here for dinner and was happily surprised. The menu is much as you would expect. Not quite as expensive as The Orient down the road but similar. The meals arrived promptly and were well cooked.

We just dropped in and had a fantastic lunch with family last Sunday, staff were friendly and service was fast, food was great, our family really enjoyed it, we'll be back
