Visited 3 days ago. Lady at the visitor centre very informative and helpful. Did the unguided South Glory cave, and the guided Jersey cave. Both quite spectacular especially the Jersey cave where you get to see floral rock. Both caves suitable for children however there are steps so maybe not for young kids unless you want to carry them. Some of the steps can be quite steep.

Well worth a visit to this amazing mineral spring and cave walks. We toured the Jersey Cave and this 1.5 hour tour was spectacular. Very child friendly and visually awesome. Roughly 100 steps downward over the tour, which means 100 steps upwards to return to the cave entry on return. Visitor centre staff were great and the gift shop also sells tasty pies and drinks. Cave guides were very informative and friendly. The mineral spring Baths were 27° and lovely on the cold winter's day we swum. NB if towing a van, you will need to park this at the entry road and collect afterwards as the road to the caves is one lane and windy.

Beautiful place.
We ventured the South Glory cave. We were a party of 4. Wife, son (6),daughter (8 months). Stunning cave. The steep 200+ stairs at the end while carrying an 8 month old was tough. Definitely recommend taking a steady walking kid. 6 year old was completely fine. We didn't make it down to the thermal pools after that. The steep hill is an understatement.

We attended a guided tour of Jersey Cave and Jillabenan Cave led by Josh on 6/7/23. We also did a self guided tour of South Glory Cave. The caves were obviously incredible and other worldly. There is nothing to describe it, you just have to see it. If costs are prohibitive to you, then you should purchase a Jersey Cave guided tour rather than Jillabenan. Jersey was much larger and more impressive. Jillabenan is however, shorter, less demanding physically and is wheelchair accessible.

The NSW National Park website is very explicit about weather updates, accessibility, physical demands of going into the caves, prices and amenities - so any negative reviews regarding this are unfair - the website tells you all you need.

Our tour was enhanced by Josh’s charisma, knowledge and all around friendly nature. We were particularly impressed with how well he managed quite a large group, including extremely eager, chattering and inquisitive kids. He held a captive audience for these kids and you can tell they thought he was great (based on their 101 questions and giggles). Josh provided many interesting insights and some quality dad jokes for the adults too 🙂

Loved this place. However the dirt road to arrive is not very friendly to small cars motorhomes or caravans. No matter how hot it is outside the caves are super cold so a jumper is a must for comfort. It is $26 for a guided tour or $22 for a self guided tour. The tour guide has access to all the lights and lockable doors. So i would highly recommend the tour guided one. There is 4 caves so early arrival would discard rushing through them all. The thermal pools are incrdibly beautiful and warm. The walk down to the pools is rough steep and very long so comfort running shoes is a must. I would not recommend anyone wear thongs doing this trip down and back. However as there was a recent landslide we were forced to take a rough route walk. So we are not sure what the normal one looks like.

We did the self guided cave tour which was excellent as the last guided tour in other caves was booked out.
The size of the caves we walked through was amazing which has automatic lights and handrails right through the cave walk. Only a few spots I had duck my head for clearance but mostly an easy walk with some steps throughout and steep steps at the exit.

Five star to our cave tour guide who provided us with comprehensive knowledge of the Jersey cave. Minus three stars to the national park operation guy who talked rudely. Jersey cave is an absolute must-visit spot. Highly recommend.
