A day drive led us to Bathurst. A quick search for dog friendly cafe came up with Piccolo on William, in the middle of Bathurst.

We were met by friendly staff, and seeing we had a 4 legged friend, they brought out a bowl of water for the dog.

The service was friendly and helpful. Food was really nice with a good selection to choose from.
Gluten free options of food/cakes also available.

The bathroom amenities were also super clean and fresh.

Came here for breakfast and ordered a Salmon Benny and the Lumberjack’s Brekkie waffle, accompanied with a pink latte and a Prana Sticky Chai.

The food and drinks tasted great. The waffle for the Lunberjack’s Brekkie was quite thick and a struggle to get through.

Wasn’t very clear whether I had to order at the counter or whether they would come to us, so just went to order at the counter.
Also no cutlery was brought out when we ordered the food, so just a couple of areas in service they could improve.

The white chocolate waffles. Wow. Delicious. Would certainly recommend and would have again if in town again. Try them, you won't be disappointed. Our waitress was super friendly too and made some great suggestions.

This by far the best chilli scramble eggs I’ve ever had!👌 (added extra bacon & hash brown on the side)
The pink latte was really good too.
There’s an outdoor space if you have a pet.
Service could be a bit slow if you’re sitting outside (quite understandable since they were busy)- but the food was definitely worth it!

One of our favourite places for breakfast in Bathurst! The food is always delicious, good portions and lovely stuff. Also coffee is amazing! Highly recommend to come here.

Let's just say there's a reason why Piccolo has almost 5 star after so so so many reviews!
The food was great, loved the big breakfast, loved the pancakes, green tea latte was nice, but the coffee was slightly over extracted so was mildly bitter.

That said the staffs are nice and the atmosphere is pleasant, what more can you ask for.

Location also super convenient in the heart of Bathurst, super easy to park, and easy access to the fossil museum so it’s a great place for before or after.

I ordered the Smoked Salmon Waffle with poached eggs on top ! This meal was a weapon !!! If you ever wanting a filling breakfast this is the way to go.

No doubt the best place for breakfast in the area. Being a big groups we tried different options and all were perfectly cooked and delicious. If you like something not quite usual try The Lumberjack - a combination of sweet Belgium waffle with maple syrup and savory beacon with eggs. Very tasty 😋. Special good words for cute country style surroundings🏡. And a very special thank you to Andy for exceptional service 💅🏻
