Went for a beer at this pub however was extremely disappointed. Very expensive for what you get given the state of the pub. Very run down hotel, bar staff were very poor with service and several staff just sit down out the back smoking. Not the best ambience. WOULD AVOID AND GO TO THE SOLDIERS CLUB INSTEAD! Cheaper drinks, better service and and nicer outlook. no wonder the pub was dead and there was only one other patron inside.

Nachos - average, packet guacamole, small serve, not cheap. |Burger - very basic, comes with chips.|Steak and ribs - pre cooked, served luke warm. |Chicken snitz - yeah, ok.. special of the day. |Overall .. eatable, basic, good service, quick service.

Cannot comment on the rooms as we stayed opposite the hotel, but Jacob behind the bar was great, makes great cocktails, and the bistro Kristy and the chef was pretty good as well. Food was excellent l! Would recommend a visit if you can

Very over priced for a pub. Staying on the coast and this has so far been the most expensive and least appealing place. The other places with beach view and same meals were cheaper. ||The staff at the actual bistro were amazing though and can’t fault the meal itself, but the price was more than I expected. Went to the bar to get a coke and just got a can which cost me $4.50, Ofcourse it’s not a big deal at all I didn’t get a glass and I could have asked, but again kinda pricey for a can..

This is a rough pub, people fighting all night and smoking in the common spaces upstairs. Some of the staff are great and the rest are asleep. The rooms are old, the bathrooms are older, and the furniture is laughable. Value for money was poor. The pub fare was tasty and fast, but the tap beer was 1970's. Sorry guys, but hospitality requires effort.

Had a great family dinner on a busy Monday night during the January school holidays. |Attentive bar and wait staff. Although the chef was in the kitchen by himself we had our meals within an hour and they were all delicious. |Great steaks cooked well. Great outdoor area for families. Would go visit again!!

Great spot, fantastic meals. Service slow on busy nights but plenty of company or TVs will keep you occupied. Rooms are old but fine, shared amenities could be freshened up. Barra for dinner and beers were brilliant.
