Read about this place in HerCanberra. Fully booked on website but thought we’d try our luck at a walk in! So glad we did & they found us a table. Really relaxed atmosphere on the water. The meal was fantastic. Every dish was full of flavour. Great cocktails & service was exceptional. Each dish delivered at a perfect pace (so often share plates are thrown down at you all at once!) Attentive staff noticing when a plate was done or a glass was empty. Highly recommend & it’s worth the trip (we drove down from Bawley Point).

The restaurant is gorgeous and in a fantastic location, the waitstaff were lovely and attentive, and the food was delicious. My friend and I shared three small plates (fritters, squid and king prawns) and my toddler had a special pasta and he devoured it. It was more than enough for all three of us and we'll definitely be back.

Birthday lunch and the experience was very good !!
We have been waiting to experience the restaurant and decided on my birthday ( Friday lunch time)
Friends had said we would like it and we did
We had only share plates 4 and a side ( mostly because the mains menu was limited for our tastes)
We loved the fresh vibrant flavours of the beetroot and kingfish and use of fresh herbs and subtle flavours
We did like the cauliflower fritters but ours were slightly over cooked but still the flavours shone through and the accompaniments were fabulous
We found the squid to be lovely light and flavoursome but very salty ( and I'm a salt fan)
The accompanying compressed melon was amazing and again the herbs made the dish .
The place is beautifully renovated and has lovely views
We will definitely be back
We would love to see a wider mains selection and some coffee
Overall it was a delightful experience

My partner took me to the Punt House for my Birthday. The Customer Service was excellent. The quality of the meals was wonderful. We were seated on the terrace balcony area. It has a special by the water atmosphere. A great Experience.

We arrived at 5pm and enjoyed the afternoon sun on the Clyde River. The water laps up to your table! Resident pelicans frolick happily in the river around, it’s so peaceful and quiet, just out of town.
Food was absolutely delicious!! My favourite was the squid and haloumi fries!
Highly recommend!

Quite honestly some of the best food I’ve ever eaten, in one of the best locations and whoever did the interior decorating has a wonderful eye for creating a beautifully comforting and elegant space. I want to come back… and back… and back again.
