A last minute decision to head out for lunch and it took us to The Oxford.

It has recently been renovated and it looks great.

My only concern is that there is not enough covered area in the new renovation.

The staff were super friendly, chatty, helpful and smiling.

The food came out in what appeared to be baking/roasting pans, unusual but effective. My only thoughts were that the serves looked quite small in the pans and would have looked larger and more value for money on regular dinner plates.

As for the quality, it was nice, although true brisket was a little dry the Tasmanian Salmon and the sides were great.

We're looking forward to going back and trying more off the menu.

The chicken wings didn't taste as great as before. Chicken was dry and lots of feather 🪶 made it worst, asked it this was normal to the staff and said yes.. be prepared for it.

Lunch was great. Unfortunately, one bar staff was a bit sloppy at pouring drinks.
I ordered a Limoncello strawberry spritz and a tall gin and tonic (pictured).

While pouring my G&T, half of my gin shot spilled on the bar and it missed my glass.

"Half of that shot is on the bar!"

Bar staff "That's not gin," he replied.

So I dipped my finger on the bar where my other shot was spilt and tasted it.

"Yeah, okay, mate, if that's not gin then my taste bubs must be dead!"

I accepted the drinks as I'm with family for lunch after a christening.

For $12 odd dollars for half a shot of G&T, thanks to a sloppy barman!

Absolutely outstanding! The place was absolutely packed to the rafters!! There was 60 of us, we all ordered separately… Everything came out super fast, fresh and hot!! We own a smoker and have eaten at many bbq establishments and more often than not 2 or 3 parts of the platter is sub standard at best…not this one! We had the 1/2 Butchers block (twice) and everything was spot on! Outstanding effort!
Your staff are a huge asset! Especially your office manager who I discovered had looked after me in the corporate box at the track earlier that day! We went back for brunch on Monday and she was still there!! 😳🤣 5* Highly recommend!!

Thank you to all the team at The Oxford Bathurst. Our club (Sydney Muscle & Performance Car Club Inc) did our annual Bathurst weekend away, this past weekend. We went for a different approach this year, and couldn’t be happier. Daniel and his team did a marvellous job, they looked after us and catered for whatever we needed. A massive thank you to Daniel and the team, you guys are amazing, and the food well WOW! Absolutely delicious.

Great location, good atmosphere and vibes.
Brisket burger with sweet potato fries was great. Unfortunately 400g tbone wasn’t up scratch, overdone and dry (maybe spend the extra for the cattleman) which we were hoping would be better from a “smokehouse bbq” place. Friendly enough staff considering they are only serving the food after you order via QR Code.

Chill pub with friendly patrons and staffs. They do texas style smoked bbq here. Sangas with chips is exquisite. Extremely crunchy crust. I ordered sloppy joe and steak and they both tasted brilliant. The aioli is very special. Not like your regular aioli trust me. Dining is much better upstairs with lots of spacious seatings and street view.

Short male stumpy Staff member with glasses was extremely rude when making order in Saturday 22/02. Bad customer service and very stressed it seemed. I made order very easy.. Took order like a robot… saying what table number? What table number(when was right in front of him) Need some training on how to provide customer service. Wouldn’t return with that attitude.
