Great 1930s hotel with good room choices. Room had all the basics but some things could be improved like a bedside lamp each side of the bed. One of the chairs at the table needs repairs and the fridge is very small. The large amount of cobwebs on the outside of window in the main room was off putting. The bathroom was great. Staff were great and parking off street appreciated. Breakfast with the room was also great, either continental or full English. Can’t beat the location in the centre of Bathurst.

I am local and haven't been for over 6 months to the Knickerbocker and I always get the Beef Thai salad. But yesterday this was the worst. There was 70% less salad, 70% more sauce, 100% more dry noodles and the meat was 50% less. So it was a crunchy soggy mess. Today I have a stomach ache there was so much sauce. Been going there a few times a year for the last 15 years. Today was our last as the best chefs have obviously come and gone as it is with change. But they were friendly as always and the it's a nice pub and good location.

Decided to have a 2 night stay in Bathurst with my partner so booked 2 nights @ the Kinkerbocker as the room online looked cute & neat for a reasonable price. Pubs have a lot of character and I have stayed at a few pub accommodation before and enjoyed it.|Opening the door to the room I was a little overwhelmed that the room was the opposite to what I was expecting. |The room was in the furtherest corner of the hotel away from William Street, creepy vibes & very small. Old seventies decor that is literally about to fall apart, milk crates for chairs would have been better!|The lady cleaning was doing a great job but would be hard work trying to make this dump look good. Due to our room position we were smelling the lovely garbage that is stored at back of hotel.|Our door could have been "jimmyed " open, not very secure. |The guy running the place could have smiled a little, terrible customer service. |Dropped key back to the bar after one night... couldn't spend another night in the bad bed either.|Being mid weekend not busy I'm sure there were other nicer rooms.

I Do Not Recommend staying here.||Rooms had no working air conditioning.|Windows screwed shut.|No air flow.|Asked for a refund to go somewhere else.|MANAGER SAID NO REFUND EVEN WHEN ADVISED OF THE PROBLEM …… SAID AIR WAS ON HEATING AND WOULD HAVE TO CHANGE WHOLE HOTEL. |FRIEND IN OTHER ROOM SAID THEY ALSO SWEATED ALL NIGHT.||Do you think we were the only 2 couples . NO, others at breakfast had same problem.||This manager does not care about his customers. Also look at how dirty the place is….!!

Clean and tidy room with great shower. Free parking and the carpark is next door so have to carry your bags a fair way but there is a lift inside to go up to your room. Dining room was closed while we were there but a big country breakfast is included in the price. Would definitely stay here again.

Had a great stay (1 night) until we checked our credit card and saw we had been overcharged…charged 2 nights plus extra 20%. They refunded the 20% but not the extra night as they said we booked for two nights, which we didn’t & had confirmation.

Asked for proof of two night reservation they received but no response…Getting our money back is still ongoing…. Very frustrating!!!

Abrupt bar staff lady.
ASK about events bar staff knows nothing says nothing go to website events shows nothing on. Except raffles.
