I like this place cause it has all your health needs under one roof… well most of them. They have plenty of doctors to see patients and the desk staff are pretty nice as well.. cost varies depends on your visit but rebate comes back right away after un pay.
Plenty of parking 🅿️ for people and there’s also an IGA supermarket, cafe etc as well at the place.
Appointment is pretty easy to get as there will usually be someone available and 8-7pm means lots of slots available. Even open 8-4 on weekends so makes getting your health needs seen to pretty easy

Those times are for the doctors, the other places in there will have their own times..

Seems to be a lot of frustration and complaining about this medical centre directed at the wrong people. Maybe it's the government's fault there's a lack of drs and extremely overworked reception. I rang first time answered quickly, and friendly and offered an appointment the same day or when ever I wanted through the week.
After reading these negative reviews I was nearly not going to try this medical, but out of curiosity I did and no problem with booking or the Dr I seen.

Sometimes admin staff are a bit rude and not very welcoming or forthcoming with assistance such as directions. You may miss an appointment if you are sitting in the wrong place. Doctors are ok and there are certain services on premises which is helpful.

Horrible, you will never get into an appointment unless you know you are going to get sick 3 days in advance. Receptionists never try to assist with help or check if any there ha been a cancellation, most doctors at the center do not listen or seem to care. The good G.P's are booked out for weeks so they do not see emergency patients at all.
I have a shocking experience of incompetence with a GP doing stitches on a finger without a scan and causing tendon damage so now it does not bend correctly.
If you care about your health I would highly recommend anywhere but Barrack heights.

After relocating to the Illawarra the concern of finding a decent doctor was at a prominent high. You would be hard pushed to find a doctor within this medical centre (and there ARE many) that wasn’t worth a positive review. Professional, thorough and friendly.
Dr Harry is a wonderful doctor and all of the receptionists are simply beautiful. Sandra, in particular, goes way above and beyond, to ensure the patients of this medical centre are all at a maximum level of comfort from the moment they enter until the moment they leave. All the while dresses herself in a beaming contagious smile. No matter how unwell you are feeling. The pharmacy within the centre is convenient as well as Skin Clinic, optometrist, dentist, physio, and pathology. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

You call this Medical Centre to get a URGENT & I MEAN URGENT (not urgent to go to the hospital) Dr's appointment so the receptionist tells you to call the next day at 8am to get an on the day appointment. You call the next day to get an on the day appointment but when you call the telephone lines CONVENIENTLY are not working. You try to get thru to reception for nearly 2 hours and the lines are constantly engaged and this always happens in the morning as it's their normal playbook tactic at this Medical centre. There are no Dr's at this Medical Centre to see patients as all of them away on holidays or family matters. THIS MEDICAL CENTER DOES NOT CARE IN PROVIDING MEDICAL CARE FOR THEIR PATIENTS. There is no accountability from the managers at this practice to provide sufficient care to patients especially if it's for the ELDERLY. You can not complain to anyone as management do not take accountability for not providing a sufficient service to their patients. Find a decent Dr elsewhere if you want to come to this Medical Centre & just stay clear of this medical Centre. They will not give you sufficient medical care especially for the ELDERLY. MAYBE A CALL TO THE MEDICAL BOARD IS REQUIREDTO SEE HOW THIS PRACTICE OPERATES TOWARDS ALL THE PATIENTS NOT GETTING SUFFICIENT MEDICAL CARE.

The Doctor I see is beyond criticism. The administration of the practice is appalling. Because my Doctor takes the time with each patient to provide them with proper medical "care" (he is truly beyond reproach) he often runs late, but if I can telephone and find out how late is he is running I don't care. Today however, I called 1 hour before by appointment and I was left listening to a recorded message for 30 minutes. I was told my doctor was running behind schedule and to call again in an hour. I did so to again listen to the recorded message for more than 40 minutes. When I spoke to the women at reception about my problem with the telephone service I was told that I should know that my doctor is always running late. I explained that I am not concerned about my doctor running late, I am concerned about the poor service when I try to call. I did not get so much as an apology. I asked for the name of the manager and was told he does not work after hours. I have his details and I will have to call him on the same telephone number I called today to listen to 70 minutes of a recorded message. I will persevere and make my complaint.

If you book between Tuesday to Friday you are likely to see you doctor within 45 minutes. Don't bother on the weekend or Monday, wait time is ridiculous at 1.5 hours. Also the reception always tell you to "come in and we'll book you in as a walk in" when you call asking on wait time. What they mean is, it's 1.5 hour wait at least and we can only slot you in between booked appointment but the medical centre needs to bill as much as possible. Some of the doctors are great and do show patient care, others just want you in and out.
