We were very disappointed in the quality of Laura's services and would recommend finding a different coordinator for your special day. Not only did we (bride & groom) see the poor quality first hand, but other vendors and family memebers that interacted with Laura also had poor feedback. The general theme was a lack of ownership and management of the wedding and other vendor services, as well as lack of understanding of our wedding plans that she herself was supposed to be managing. Her poor service led to the reception starting late, the wedding cake falling over, and the bride & groom not getting pictures with their guests. Specific details provided below:

-Despite guarantees and assurances that she worked with our venue closely on multiple occasions, she provided incorrect information of the type of decor we were allowed to use for our exit. We checked with the venue directly and they clarified that the information she provided was wrong.
-When asked to put up a sign to ensure guests knew which door of the venue to enter from, she asked the groom's sister to do it for her.
-Despite being at the venue walkthrough with the caterer and being CCed on email chains with the caterer, and despite the fact that she should have been managing this herself the day of the wedding, both the buffet and table settings were incorrect when we arrived and we had to personally speak to the caterer to get it fixed, as well as get our family to leave our guests at the cocktail hour and physically help with the setup, ensuring the reception started late.
-Though she wasn't responsible for baking the wedding cake herself, another vendor informed her that the cake was tilting. Instead of informing the baker and having it fixed, Laura claimed "the bride and groom want it like that", which then led to the cake falling over before the reception started.
-Despite her responsibility of managing the family entrance for the reception, she stood by and watched while they entered with incorrect timing.
-Despite the caterer telling her the food was ready, she only opened one side of the buffet. When the father of the groom went to check, she claimed the food wasn't ready, and he had to go back to the caterer himself to make sure they let people use the buffet.
-Because the reception was delayed, the groom specifically told Laura to hold off until he told her to open the dance floor so the bride & groom would have time to take pictures with the guests. Despite this explicit instruction, she had the DJ announce the first dance almost immediately so the bride and groom got no pictures with their guests.
-Despite it being her responsbility to manage the bride & groom's exit, it fell to the family of the groom to direct people, pass out the petals, and organize the entire exit.

We used Soiree South for coordination services for our wedding and it was absolutely worth it! When my officiant dropped out last minute and a friend had to take over, Laura was on top of running the rehearsal and made the whole thing less stressful for us and the new officiant. She managed everything with the vendors on the wedding day so there was literally nothing I had to worry about except for getting married and having fun. She made sure me and the groom had food from the cocktail hour, drinks, and that we stayed on time all while being such a calming presence. Everyone at my wedding raved about Laura too and I can confidently say hiring her was the best money spent for actually being able to relax and enjoy my wedding day with everything taken care of!

In the first phone call, when Laura introduced her and the name of the company, I mixed this company up with another one that has a different type of service. I said I didn't need planning services from this company. She then rudely yelled at me with 'WHAT DO YOU NEED THEN'. Well, her pricing is $1200, if she didn't yell, I might have closed an eye and gone with her since her pricing is much lower than others out there. I can't imagine getting yelled at on my wedding day.

Soiree South & Co and Laura literally saved our wedding! We had started with a different wedding coordinator who was just falling short (way short!) in all ways possible. So two weeks before our wedding, we fired our first coordinator, and our caterer introduced us to Laura and she was our saving grace! She swooped in, was professional but incredibly warm and despite only working with her for two weeks, we honestly felt like she had been with us along the wedding planning journey the entire time. She was organized and knew the exact questions to ask and what tasks needed to be done within the last two weeks. She jumped right in and would go out of her way to take care of things for us and made sure that every detail was discussed and taken care of. On the wedding day, she was flawless and created a day that went smoothly from start to finish. My family loved working with her and even in a short time, we all simply trusted that Laura knew what she was doing, what our vision was and she ensured that our day was everything we hoped for and more! Wish we had found her even sooner but could not recommend her and Soiree South enough!!
