Was very excited to visit for the first time, having seen other newer libraries like Wallsend (amazing!) but very disappointed. The location could have amazing views of the mountains, but poor design gives a view of the carpark only. Such an oversight. Inside, it is essential a children's library, huge open space for kids who's noise carries through the echoey open space. Very limited opening hours.

Small but neat library with modern design. The staff are lovely and helpful. Printing/Scanning services are available with meeting room available to rent as well as kids play area. A digital station is there to facilitate burrowing/searching books and topping up your card.

I had encountered issues with AC and after hour access in the past which is singing that can be improved. Also, there is limited comfy work/study stations.

Loved the free museum tour learnt a lot about where I live. Singed up for a library card too so many books to choose from. Really handy how you can print paper too off your phone via connecting to the printer and resnoble price per paper😀

As a museum for local community it is good, however as a library, it is quite moderate even to speak politely. Very odd opening hours, design of kids book area makes preschoolers difficult to find & grab their books, and the amount of books is just not what you would expect from a new library that size. Also as a library, there seems to be no after hours returning window (walked around it twice but couldn't find one) which makes book return even harder. Maybe there is still something for the council to learn from other community libraries, e.g

Long awaited visit to the new library but was left disappointed.
As a regular visitor to Edgeworth Library with my children, I was hoping I would find another welcoming and friendly place for myself and my book loving kids. What I found was a rather empty library where once again, style has overridden substance. A few half full shelves of young readers books. Badly displayed and hard to access kids books.

Not to mention the ridiculous opening hours, seemingly chosen at complete random.... Who thought that closing for an hour in the middle of the day was a good idea. And why open at 10, surely the obvious thing would keep it in line with other Lake Mac libraries to save confusion.

The museum, yes, well it's moderatly interesting, not exactly somewhere you'd want to revisit again and again, so hopefully they change up the displays regularly. And hopefully in time the shelves will fill with books so that it will become a real community hub, because at the moment I won't be rushing back.

A new and modern library, with some local history which is interesting for the most part. A large room in the middle with lots of seats and tables, for holding events, so hope to see more things in this space. The library part... Well, it's been over a month and there are still next-to-no books, I mean, there's heaps of places to store books but there just isn't any there. We were wanting to take the kids here regularly, but there's be no more than 100 books for primary school kids, period. Same for all the other book groups - there's a few racks of adult books but they're 50% empty... How do you build a library for 12 months but not actually have any books in there. Parking is close, but not sheltered from the rain, and you're competing with parking for fast food and the shopping centre. It's hard to tell if the library is opened, as it's dark through the windows even with the lights on, and the opening times are so odd that you never really can know until you walk up to the front door. I was so looking forward to this facility for the family, but it's a disappointment, especially when you have other nearby libraries to compare to (eg Wallsend library)

Lovely space for me and my 3yr old to pop in and have a chill. Book shelves are filling too each time!
