At first we visited a doctor for my child vaccination and was told to come next time as they need check the record and prepare the vaccine, so I paid the consultation fee. Second time we came just for getting the vaccination (under the NIP) and was told beforehand over the phone that it would be free of charge. However after vaccination the receptionist firmly asked me to pay the doctor consultation fee again, and impatiently told me that is for the administration and doctor consultation package cost. First time to hear of it.

Just to make it clear, I paid ~$85for the first time and ~$65 second time out of my pocket, just to get a dose of NIP vaccine for my child.

For the first time, I knew we were the new patients and it could take efforts to get our documents created, so I was fine to pay for a full consultation fee, although my request was very simple.

For the second time, We were waiting in the lobby for the 15 minutes after getting the vaccine from a nurse, and I spoke to the female reception staff and told her we just got a vaccine, I got her reply that it should be free of charge, but sooner we were called back by the doctor who we met at the first time, and in her office she just gave us some very common advice on the vaccinations. When we got out her office the reception staff asked us for consultation fee, or like they said, the administration fee.

I felt so sick. It is so pathetic to make money like this.

And for your question asking about a name, it is a nurse who I don’t remember her name called me the second day that the vaccine was ready and was free of charge to get.

Had a consultation with a GP and was prescribed antibiotics which I had symptoms arise from. I rang the practise to just check if it’s okay to stop the meds because the box said (DO NOT STOP THIS MEDICATION)

The transferred me through to a GP for under a minute to answer the question then had the audacity to try and charge me $100+ for that minute.

You’d think any reasonable practise would bulk bill it at the very least (they claim to be a mix bill practice). Not Cameron Park Medical Centre.

Business first then healthcare.

I am a paitent of Dr Bajic and she is such a wonderful and caring Dr. She looks after myself and my Mum and always makes us feel safe and comfortable. Highly recommend.

This is a little while ago but I had a receptionist tell me I had sworn her on the phone when I didn't. She was so rude and unhelpful and I was very sick and admittedly a bit grumpy at the time. She was awful and treated me as if she wasn't working at a doctors surgery where people are you know, sick.
I had to call them back later to deal with something when the swearing accusation occured where I got even ruder service from some other receptionist informing me of actions I'd not done. I explained my side and she couldn't have cared less. I've never been back and wouldn't recommend anyone else does either if they value good service and empathic humans.

And in case I get a response from this practise getting all excited, all anyone needs to do to know how these people deal with their clients is read this comments section and their responses to other people. Rude.

Booked in for my annual flu shot but for some reason they also booked me for GP consultation and charged by ~ $50 for it ! Not sure if this is normal as usually I'd get my shots from a shift nurse at Chemist Warehouse with NO out of pocket expense.

Other then that I had no issues dealing with reception or the medical staff as claimed by other comments below.

I've been getting my flu vaccine for over a decade without any GP consultation and you're telling me that its illegal ! If that's true then next time someone books an appointment with you for flu vaccine, at least be upfront with them about the added GP consultation cost ON TOP of the vaccine charges.

I just wanted to leave my positive feedback after visiting your practice for the first time. I was greeted by your polite and friendly admin staff. A short wait for my appointment. The room is very nice and clean. I seen
Dr Dobrila Bajic, she was absolutely fantastic. We had a debrief of my medical history and medication. She listened, taken a swab to test what infection I actually had and today I received the follow up phone call to confirm what I had. Absolutely 5+ star review for this practice but mainly to
Dr Dobrila Bajic. Thank you.

Absolutely ridiculous the system will let someone else go in while your on an appointment booking and take it out from under you. Fantastic system and maybe try and update the way it works to help parents who are no longer together but do have shared custody of their kids.. no I don't know my exes phone number immediately will be finding someone new thanks

The doctor I see at this medical centre is great, I am happy with his treatment and my review is not against him or his treatment at all.
This review is in regards to one receptionist and managements inactivated response to a very serious breach in my privacy.
This receptionist in particular has been quite rude and condescending to me a number of times and on this particular occasion when I confronted her about her mistake of sending my personal information to an unknown email address she was very rude again, then she made up lies and told the management as well as my treating doctor that I behaved badly in the reception area when I did not.

This particular Receptionist has sent my personal details such as my full name, my full address, date of birth, my phone number and sensitive medication information to an anonymous third party with not even an apology to me.
You would think the management would treat this breach of privacy as a major issue however unfortunately it seems they’re not.
I am still waiting for a response from management to see how they intend to not only resolve this issue but also how they intend to ensure it doesn’t happen to other patients in the future.

As I am truely worried about my personal information now potentially being miss used due to this breach and due to not having a proactive response from the management I feel I may have to seek legal advice.

My information was intentionally sent to a third party email, your receptionist was very rude and did lie about me, other reviewers have also stated the same.
You took over two weeks to contact me when I was told by your staff the issue will be resolved that day.
Your patients information is not safe with your staff and I find it disturbing that the Dr I spoke to stated he is proud of his reception staff.
He is proud of staff that are rude and send sensitive personal information to third party email addresses on purpose without a patients consent opening that patients identify to possibly being stolen and causing said patients financial harm.

Your below statement Cameron park medical centre not only does not tell the whole truth you have also decided to invent your own truth.
I can see why your receptionist feels it’s ok to lie.
