What an absolute gem of a hotel. You won't have to search too hard on the famous Fossicker's Way to find this nugget of golden service and accommodation. |Extensively and tastefully renovated by the current owner, who is one of the loveliest bloke around. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed. everything feels fresh and spotlessly clean. This is a fairly quiet part of the country, so the personal attention you'll receive will make your stay even better. Show the owner some love if you're in the area, and have a night or two here. You won't regret it, and you'll really be helping keep this gorgeous venue alive.

Andrew completely saved us. Our car broke down outside Barraba and we couldn't get it towed away on Friday evening. He made us feel very welcome, was a great host and incredibly open-minded. The cinema in the Playhouse Hotel and the convivial atmosphere deserve special mention. We can absolutely recommend it!

Lovely place...we visited for a concert and sat in a small, cosy room of the former playhouse on old cinema chairs. Good service, nice people, but the wine we got for 14$/ glass was one of the worst I drank on our trip. Sorry to say this, guys, but for that money, I'd expect at least a basic wine and not a vinegar;)
The room prices are quite expensive, too, so we decided to move on to the next town.

Fabulous boutique hotel, service is great, nothing is too much trouble for the proprietor Andrew. The beds, pillows are so comfortable and I love the bathrooms with continuous hot water. My family enjoyed a movie at the intimate cinema, with home-made ice cream cones!
This is a real gem on Fossickers Way.
