I attended this venue on 3/1/2025 for lunch. We had the steak burrito which for $20 came with chips and a drink (coffee/wine/beer). Whilst the food took quite a while it was absolutely delicious. It was a very nice tasting burrito and I would definitely recommend. My mate had the beef burger which was served medium and he loved it. The place has a really nice outdoor seating area. Only thing I I would say is they could do with another bar staff member. It was busy so I’ll cut them some slack for that. I would definitely recommend this place.

I celebrated my birthday at Modus Brewing and had an amazing time! The atmosphere was fantastic, especially with the play area for kids, which made it a great spot for everyone. The food was delicious, the beers were excellent, and even the cocktails were impressive. This is the second year in a row I’ve chosen to have my birthday here because I love it so much, highly recommend!

Really enjoyed the place and experience. It’s such a lovely layout and even kids can have fun here. We had a huge lunch and a few drinks and thoroughly enjoyed it. Burgers, chicken wings, fish tacos, salt and pepper squid were all good. The cauliflower popcorn were actually our favs on the day, along with the beer on tap.

There is a play area for the kids which is a great touch. They also do brewery tours which is great and you can see the tanks if you want to have a look.

It wasn’t perfect, as one of the staff was a bit miserable in attitude but this definitely wouldn’t stop us from coming again. The rest of the staff were very friendly and professional.

Has the potential to become our favourite place in Newcastle. Job well done!

Our recent lunch experience was sub par, especially considering the nearly $200 price tag for three adults and one child. While we appreciate the focus on food quality, the small portion sizes left us feeling hungry. The pricing seemed more aligned with a fine-dining establishment, yet the atmosphere and service were more casual. Despite multiple staff members interacting with our table for orders and food delivery, no one inquired about our meal satisfaction or overall experience. For this price point, we expected both more substantial meals and a higher level of customer service.

I can certainly say that this venue was a great experience. We had lovely food her and a great choice of drinks available. I like the idea of seeing the brewing tanks and get to try some of their beers on tap. To all the staff at Modus keep up the good work you do for the public.

Dined at Modus with my parents and my young daughter. It's very kid friendly with a decent play area and suitable meals.

We all had burgers. My fish burger was 9/10. Huge in size. Massive piece of quality fish and a really nice sauce.

Chips were cooked perfectly and there was heaps of them... I could only just finish my meal. Great portion size.

Cons: It was super loud and hard to have a conversation. We asked for coffees to come out with the meal and they just came out right away, 15m before meal... It's a simple request and so many places mess it up.

Popped in for trivia on a Wednesday night and had a lovely time!! Fab dinner, drinks and vibes. Thanks especially to Alex for giving us a run down on Modus weddings and events packages. Makes me wish I could get married all over again!! Stunning space and will be recommending it to all our newly engaged friends!!
