I am lucky enough to stay here each time I travel to Newcastle for work. As far as hospitality experiences go, the whole team at QT nail it every time. The energy of the staff is always fantastic, and the little things they do for returning guests always enhances my visits. Outside of having a great team, the food is great, the rooms are excellent/comfy, and the location is nice and central (an easy stroll to the beach for a swim). Thanks Team QT - knowing I am coming to stay always makes me look forward to the trip!

What a lovely hotel. Nicely decorated and clean. The bed was big and comfy. Great curtains keep the light out in the morning for a little sleep in!!!!! The staff are absolutely fantastic- nothing is too much trouble, friendly, smiling, wanting to help with anything. Roof top bar was an added bonus. Would highly recommend 👍👍

This rates as a great little hotel in my book. From the initial very friendly booking experience, where they matched an internet special rate, to check out, it was a great service experience. The key factor was the staff team and how friendly and welcoming they were. Happy to have a chat they personalised the stay. Most impressive was the welcoming note in my room. The young man taking the booking noted the reason for my stay and I found a very clever welcome note (see photo). The room was great, very stylish, clean and so many pillows. Great location close to the cafes and the waterfront. I will be staying here again…

From the moment you walked into the hotel the staff where friendly and extremely knowledgeable.
We had a beautiful room with glimpses to the ocean . An extremely comfortable bed had a brilliant night sleep. Whilst staying there we went to the roof top bar where the staff where amazing and had impressive views into the harbour . Would definitely stay here again . Thankyou QT see you again soon .

Stayed at the QT with my teenage son for three night in Jan/Dec 2025. We were in a twin room on the fifth floor. ||Starting with the biggest positive: the staff were an absolute delight, super friendly and helpful, and couldn’t have been more welcoming. From restaurant to housekeeping to the restaurant - thanks to the whole team for being great. ||The hotel is in a good location, easy walking distance to loads of cafes and restaurants, as well as the beach, and very near a light rail stop. ||Beds were comfy, the room was clean, and the shower and bath were both generously sized. ||We found the room on the dark side - it only had a half window due to the nature of the renovation, so I suspect if you were in a room with bigger windows this would be less of an issue. Also found the light switches a bit confusing and had to faff around for quite a while every night to get them turned off. ||Should also note that there isn’t much privacy with the bathroom - it has a lot of glass and isn’t soundproofed in any way, so while this was fine for a family stay, it wouldn’t be comfortable if you were e.g on a work trip and sharing with a colleague. ||We were unlucky on our first night and had very noisy and inconsiderate guests in the room next door pumping out loud music at 1am. We did call it down to reception and someone was up within a few minutes to knock on the door - unfortunately the guests escalated things after this and actually got noisier. We made the decision to just ignore it as best as we could rather than call down again, and they did eventually fall asleep and shut up. We brought this up at reception again the next day and they were able to let us know that those guests were checking out so we didn’t need to move rooms - but also said if it happened again in future it was fine to call down and complain multiple times, which was reassuring 🙂

I spent almost a week here on business and what sets this stylish, modern hotel apart is the friendly staff. The rooftop bar and downstairs restaurant are great. I loved having access to a nearby commercial gym. |The only negative is parking is a nightmare, however there is a valet service.

I arrived late in the evening and they had the forethought to call in and make sure I was ok. So, the welcoming, friendly atmosphere and personalised service started before I even arrived. Parking is a bit of a nightmare but they do offer valet for $50 should you choose to use it. Cant expect too much being right in the middle of the city. ||Check in was a breeze and super friendly with staff on the desk doing anything they could to help with your stay or discuss the area. Personalised service continued when I got to the room with a cute handwritten note. ||My room was the usual QT blend of funky but refined & really spacious, with a really big bathroom. Bathtub was excellent, so comfortable to soak in. Bed was huge and comfy with pillows to choose from.||As I arrived late I didnt get to use many of the facilities but the bar look very cool from a walk through. ||Couldn't recommend highly enough!

Room was neat and tidy and quite beautifully decorated, with an attractive mini-bar and powerful shower. The manager and staff were friendly, professional and relentlessly cheerful. My wife forget to take 3 dresses she had hung in the room, and they posted them back to us without any drama. I can’t thank them enough for their hospitality and kindness.
