I have stayed here before and the previous experience was so good I came back. My reason for being here was personal, not on business. The rooms are spacious, clean, well appointed and comfortable. The staff, including the hands on owner, are a delight to deal with and well versed in hospitality. On my previous visit, I ate at their very nice restaurant. I had planned to do so again. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed as they were doing a major new fitout. I will be back to try it. Also, the area around the hotel has a definite 'village' feel.

Stayed here when in newcastle for work last weekend. The hotel has good food, staff and service were great. The room was nice and quiet, relatively new renovation so clean and comfortable. Check in was easy. Couldn't hear street noise or noise from the bar and restaurant. Enjoyed my stay. If I was to be critical the minibar could be better stocked for convenience of having a snack without having to go down the street. Probably don't really need snacks but it is nice to have the option.

Stayed here recently when in Newcastle for work The rooms are recently renovated. They are clean well laid out (for small rooms) and nice decor. They were nice and quiet, could barely hear street noise and could not hear noise from the restaurant and bar which can be very important for some people (I am one who likes a quiet room). There are plenty of cafes and restaurants locally to eat and dine at.

I've been staying here for many years and its always very welcoming & relaxed for a solo, female traveller. The rooms are stylish, quiet, calming, and the beds, linen & pillows are super comfy & nice. Hotel staff are friendly & professional, bistro is fantastic, food delicious, wine list above average - its definitely 5* !!

Highly recommend, great value accomodation. Considering location, it was really quiet, didn’t hear a thing & we were in room 1. They have double glazed the windows. Staff extremely friendly and knowledgeable, always smiling.
Food incredible, had breakfast and dinner, loved all of it! Compliments to the chef! Extensive wine menu. We paid for parking but really no need. All in all great stay!

Enjoyed a beautiful lunch here today with a group of friends. The staff are attentive, professional and friendly.

We all enjoyed our meals. I was delighted with my meal that consisted of two Oysters Kilpatrick, the Cajun Barramundi with Smashed Chats and roasted pumpkin, followed by the Lemon and Cream Roulade.

Ordering is done at the table, and individual payment is accepted.

The pub has a lovely open feel and is quite airy.

Parking on the street was easy enough today just a short stroll away.

Stayed 2 nights in Room 1, & highly recommend.
Quiet room, clean, spacious, and super comfy bed.
Ate breakfast each morning in the restaurant, & 1 dinner. The food was delicious, staff super attentive, and fantastic vibe.
Super convenient location, and we'll definitely be back.
