I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional care and attention my mother receives at Barden Lodge.
The kindness, compassion, and professionalism shown by Simone, Cathy and the entire team have made such a positive impact on her well-being. It's clear that she is in the best possible hands, and I am truly appreciative of the support you all provide.
Thank you for creating such a warm and nurturing environment. Your dedication does not go unnoticed, and I am deeply thankful for everything you do.

From our very first visit to Barden Lodge Simone and the team made us feel welcome and so at home. Our family member spent her last few months here and there are not enough words to describe the incredible level of care, compassion and attention provided. Barden Lodge is such an amazing community. Mum has been at Barden Lodge for 6months! She has settled in beautiful and is so happy and feels loved and valued by staff. In fact, she loves it there so much that she tells her friends that she isn’t in a Nursing Home, but a Retirement Home. She enjoys the activities and looks forward to Happy Hour, when scheduled.

My father resided at Barden Lodge for 2 years. The care he received was excellent, the staff were exceptional from the office/admin to those doing the hard work of looking after his physical needs and the cleaning and maintenance . I highly recommend this facility.

Mum has strongly resisted the idea of going into residential care, however, at 99 years, and after a hospital stay, she reluctantly became a resident at Barden Lodge.

Now, a month later, neither she, nor we, can fault the facility. All the staff have carried out their responsibilities with kindness, care and compassion. They have always been available to work with us through the adjustment issues Mum has experienced.

Previously mum was living independently and had become quite reclusive. Now at Barden Lodge she is involved in the activities and even the outings off site. Mum speaks highly of the staff and is getting to know some of the other residents.

A weight of responsibility has been lifted off our shoulders. We are very thankful to Simone and all the staff at Barden Lodge that this new era in mum's life has gone as it has.

To sum up Barden Lodge and its Staff in several words. Compassionate, Friendly, Professional, Helpful and Caring.
From our initial contact with Simone (Manager), then Cathy (Admin/Client Officer), Irene (Lifestyle Coordinator), Jasmine (Care Manager) and all the wonderful Staff, we knew that we had nothing to worry about by placing Mum into respite at this World Class Aged Care Facility.
Spacious Rooms, with Ensuite. Large TV in Mum's Room with Netflix, Foxtel. It's more like a 5 Star Hotel than an Aged Care Facility.
The Daily changing Menu and number of Meals is outstanding.
The Group Activities each day, all day, create strong Friendships and Bonds amongst those fortunate enough to be in the Lodge. Outdoor areas for Visitors to catch up with loved ones are available. Those who wish to do their own thing or with their Friends can simply watch TV in one of the several spacious areas, or even just have a bit of alone time in their own rooms.
Everything is done for them, and no request is too hard for the great caring Staff.
We cannot praise Barden Lodge enough, nor are there words to truly express our thanks for relieving us of that major worry when having to place a Parent into a Facility, be it for respite or permanently. Mum (91 old) has already expressed that she wishes to stay but at this point she is not quite at that stage, but we have assured her that she can return for more respite in the coming years.
We can offer nothing but praise and hope that when the time comes, we can be looked after at Barden Lodge or at least at such a high-quality Aged Care Home. Our many thanks once again to one and all associated with Barden Lodge.

My mum has been at Barden Lodge since early Aug 2023. She was admitted after a month in hospital with a brain injury from a fall and was diagnosed with vascular cognitive impairment.

I realised she would need residential aged care full time, even though she was absolutely against going into a nursing home and fought hard to go back home to her three cats and friendly neighbours.

Now, after 4 months or more, she is settled and so happy living at Barden Lodge. She loves so many of the staff, espcially the manager, Simone, and one of the registered nurses.

She's made a few friends and has also found a new 'boyfriend'. The care, food, facilities and attention she's received in the facility have been exceptional. Anything asked for from management has been worked on to be achieved.

Mum looks ten years younger and ten times happier than she did living in her old house, alone.

I realise Mum isn't high needs as she is mobile with a walker and can do lots of things herself. However, she still needs lots of help washing, keeping things clean, being fed, fall prevention and at unexpected times day and night.

Thank you so much Barden Lodge for caring for my Mum. You've made Mum happy and me too.

My father stayed at Barden Lodge for six weeks Respite Care. The compassion and empathy expressed by the management group was wonderful. The care and professionalism of the staff was exemplary.
Receiving three good wholesome meals a day and his medications on time every time has made a huge improvement to my father's physical and mental well-being.
