STAY AWAY FROM MSC CRUISES!!! I booked a cruise to Europe for April 2025. I needed to change the date so I contacted them. They said that I could not do it, that I would have to cancel the booking and I would lose 25% of the total cost. I was not happy but I agreed with that. Then 1 week later I received a call from them and they informed me that I was not going to receive any refund because I didn’t have any booking with them for 2025!!! Now they don’t reply to my emails or calls!!! Also, they have not refunded any of my money so I am now forced to seek legal advice!!! Worst experience ever!!!
NOW, I UNDERSTAND WHY THEY HAVE BAD REVIEWS!!! A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE THIS COMPANY!!!

I was on the MSC Opera, first time being on a cruise ship and personally found it fantastic. All communications were very helpful and informative, staff on board couldn't have been more helpful, buffet breakfast and 3 course meals for lunch and dinner 😋 walking deck on top, definitely recommend getting any type of drinks package.

Unfortunately our 7 day cruise was NOT a wonderful experience. I paid premium for balcony cabin because my daughter is asthmatic and we wanted fresh air, we could not open the doors because other passengers were constantly smoking outside on their balcony’s. It was not only very unpleasant to smell smoke but also a serious breach of safety legislation and presents a fire risk- what would happen if a cabin caught on fire and compromised the safety of passengers? MSC have not responded adequately for a company that should take their duty of care seriously. Many calls and emails were ignored. The worst follow up customer service.

Worst cruise we have ever taken..
The service was deplorable..
Our cabin bathroom had 2 cms of water on arrival..3 days to "fix it"..
Daily reports to passenger service.
The waterbecame worse and ended up being effluent..we had towels wrapped around the bowl..last night it was finally fixed...I asked for our daily reports to passenger service...no I was told.
Contact our travel agent..

We have travelled on 2 previous MSC cruises in 2023 and have just booked another this year.Drink package price changed from 460 US to 700 US with a 15 drink cut off how can this happen without an email of something
So have checked outer sites the EURO ones still incl the Easy plus package no limits I now wished we booked through these sites
FUNNY have just checked the US site they have realised their POOR business decision and now including it as a bonus for extra 420US
Australian site you have no luck stuck with the expensive option
What happens onboard all these different nationalities different package deals a lot of ANGER unfolding on the ship.
So wd have decided to buy as we go VERY slowly in signing those stupid receipts and getting stuck into the drinks at the ports
MSC you’ve done it again!!! SO FOR THIS REASON
IM OUT!!!
Booking for October 2025 and already regretting this decision to try MCS again
Also after the cut of 15 they then let you have as many as you can handle at full price !!!
They mentioned in their excuse it’s to help with health and wellbeing I doubt that any plain Freddy can see it’s the Dollar $$$$$

Been on a number of cruises before with other companies but MSC is by far the worst. Looks great but horrible service. Expensive internet and only used to access the MSC app, only free English programs were the news, drink packages can only be order by every person in a cabin, buffet food almost always the same and not nice, with a boring variety of food and not fresh. By the end of a 8 day cruise, my family was physically distressed by the quality and options of food provided. No sufficient hand sanitising stations, experiences are expensive and not great, poor communication, expensive, rooms smell, ship configuration poor as difficult to move around the ship, service desk next to live music bar, fine dining experience under bowling alley that can be heard easily. Other passengers smoking on balconies and after numerous complaints, nothing was done. A baggage strap was taken and not replaced and at the end of tbe cruise, the receptionist argued for us to prove it was lost even though we made a report as soon as we received our bags. This cruise was at the end of a European holiday and was going to be a relaxing way to end our holiday before returning to Australia. It was by far the worst experience and this will be our our last cruise ever as it has spoilt our opinions of cruise ships and has lost our faith in the industry! Please, avoid at all costs and save yourself stress and illness….. as we and others all got sick in the final days. You would think after Covid, cruise ship companies would ensure customers health and spread of diseases are important but MSC ARE TOO BUSY TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO TAKE MORE OF YOUR MONEY. VERY DISAPPOINTING AND MSC SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES!

This is the biggest rip off, they take money out of your account without authorisation. The girl at the service desk on MSC Divina ship, opened our account with 250euros, they took it out of our travel money card and didn't give it back, we spent 308.84 euros and the 250 euros was supposed to come off that leaving 58.80 euros, but they charged a us 250 Euros extra, plus another 85.19 Euros for goodness know what. Trying to contact them is impossible, you get the run around. They owe us 335.19 euros. Highway robbery!!

The cleaner who was supposed to clean my room and put fresh clean towels, actually put a dirty towel with a fresh blood stain on it into our room. After a long day, I went back to my room and showered and wiped myself with this towel, not realising that it was dirty and had another persons blood on it. When I hung up the towel after wiping myself I saw the blood stain on it and called to make a complaint. The next day a man came to apologise and he offered me free SOLARIUM (as if that is what I want after this traumatic experience) to compensate for the bloody towel. He also proceeded to tell me that I should get checked by the doctors to ensure it was not my blood as there is no way a dirty towel was put in my room. I was so upset because I was pretty much called a liar and also had to prove I was telling the truth. I went to the doctor who was really sympathetic, he checked my body and I had no open wounds on me. This was very humiliating and upset me very much. The ship staff then asked me what they could do make it better such as give me meal, wine or a massage. I was disgusted because we spent $8000 on this holiday package to have such a horrific experience. I did not accept anything they offered me as I felt that everything being offered was so insignificant in comparison to my horrible experience. I also have to get a blood test soon to make sure I didn’t catch anything from the blood on the towel. The doctor on the boat told me I should be fine but just in case I should still take a blood test to ensure all is well. After all, I have no idea whose blood was on this towel. Since the cruise, I have not heard anything from MSC. I am disgusted with the way they dealt with my situation and above all did not offer any sufficient way to compensate for my horrible experience. I worked hard and waited over half a year for this holiday and in the end it was a real waste of my time and money.

Also, prepaid excursions planned by the ship were very poorly organised.
