We had Bree help us to book our flights and accommodation to Japan for a big family holiday at the end of the year.

As this is our first time to Japan, we needed some expert help and Bree was fantastic at guiding us through the whole process and getting us exactly what we wanted.

As an added bonus, Bree was able to secure us an additional unadvertised discount that was better than anything listed online, so we are super happy we went with Flight Centre and not trying to figure out how to book online ourselves (which would have been more expensive).

Overall, very happy with the whole experience. Bree was professional, polite and extremely well informed, which is everything we needed.

Great booking experience with Lauren and Flight Centre for our trip to Japan in April and Norway later in the year. Lauren always has great recommendations for hotels and activities that I wouldn’t have thought of. They take all the hard work out of planning a holiday and still at great prices. Have been booking there now for a couple of years and wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Once again our consultant at Flight Centre has delivered. We had an idea for an itinery with a couple of non negotiable dates. As always Wayne delivered a number of options for us to choose, all included great prices with top airlines. This was even more important to us as this was our first time travelling long haul business class flights.

Wanted to support in person holiday booking but the options that Flight Centre gave were the same as what I could find online, even worse, there is less flexibility booking with Flight Centre as airlines’ online standard 24 hour change of mind policy does not apply to Flight Centre booking. We learned this the hard way and had to pay $1,000 to reschedule our flight 10 hours after booking because we made a mistake in the original booking.
Also, the sales assistant told us that we had to book business class for one of the connecting internal flights because all the economy flights were sold out even though we were booking months in advance. Feeling pressured on the spot, we booked the flights and found out there were plenty of economy availability on that flight later but of course there was no flexibility to change it through Flight Centre.
One of the benefits we thought we’d at least enjoy booking with Flight Centre was that the airline would transfer our luggage between flights but were told that this is not offered and we have to pick up our luggage and re check- in ourselves
At this point, I do not know what reasons there are to support Flight Centre when they
1. Sold us more expensive option needlessly
2. Additional change fees for making changes to booking within 24 hours that is usually waived when booking online directly
3. No additional booking service to transfer our luggage on connecting flights.

Edit: also forgot to mention that the agent sold us a ‘captains package’ for full flexibility and ‘no change fee’. This gave us the impression that there’s flexibility to change but turned out that the ‘no change fee’ only applied to Flight Centre’s change fee but pretty useless when the airline fare that the agent locked us into charges a change fee even if changed within 24 hours, again, this is more restrictive than buying the tickets online, without the added captains package.

Flight Centre, and in particular Wayne Hickey in the Sydney office, has done an incredible job organising a trip to Spain and Portugal. Everything was made easy from beginning to end including flights, accommodation, train and car hire bookings. I was given great advice and every need was attended to promptly and efficiently.
