What a fantastic way to watch the Sydney fireworks on New Years Eve. The boat launches from Pyrmont away from the crowds and was easy to get to for boarding. I'd suggest taking the light rail in and out.
The chef put on a superb meal and fancy dessert platter, staff were all very friendly and drinks ran all night. I'm not sure how the parking spots for the various boats get allocated but we had a front row seat to the spectacular 9pm and midnight shows. The boat captain does an amazing job of keeping the boat facing the show. From what we saw, this boat was one of the better designs for watching the show due to the large open upper deck, plus front deck area. As the cruise is sold as a dinner, there is sitting room for dinner for all, and thus the boat is not too crowded for watching the fireworks. The only downside for me was the person smoking near me from where I was watching the 9pm show. I don't think everyone else should be forced to endure that and hope Harbourside change their policy on smoking outside, especially since the woman threw her cigarette in the water afterwards. All in all, I don't think there could be a better way to watch the show for what is likely a once in a lifetime experience.

5 star cruising on large catamaran with several different viewing sections. Absolutely delightful way to enjoy the harbour. Tasty, fresh and varied lunch, cold drinks, service. Experienced captains. Highly recommended. Will return!

I and my husband went on their New Years Eve cruise. I would recommend it. Their dock is further away from the city center but easy enough to get to by tram - L1. The boat was large and clean with several seating areas. They got us front and center for the fireworks - right in the middle of the bay just outside the exclusion area without any boats between us and the fireworks. The food was fine but they needed two buffet areas as I stood in line for over 25 minutes to get dinner. There was a DJ and dancing but as an older couple we sat outside and enjoyed the wonderful views.

We were on the NYE cruise last month. Very nice moment! Incredible view on the fireworks, good food, lots of drinks (some of them are not included). And, above all... thanks to all of the nice and helpful people who helped me for the proposal 🙂

I spent the NYE of 2024 in a Harbourside cruise and it was magic. Everything was perfect. The boat was spacious, not crowded at all, crew extremely attentive, the food was good and abundant as well as the drinks. We couldn’t have a more privileged view of the fireworks. The whole experience was marvellous.

The boat trip itself was excellent, food,drinks, friendly staff and a great position on the harbour to watch the fireworks. Boarding process though was chaotic, poorly organised and frustrating. We were asked to arrive early and duly did so. After collecting a wrist tag (as advised by someone in the queue, not the staff), then had to wait an hour standing on the street pavement which is unacceptable when paying for a premium event. Understaffed for the boarding, and zero process - how difficult is it to create 3 clear colour coded queues for the different boats and load everyone on a first come first served basis!! Sorting this basic problem out which add hugely to the enjoyment of the evening especially as getting home is always a nightmare, but known issue.

Went on the Elvis tribute entertainment cruise on the 7/12/24 and the entertainment from the host to the Elvis songs to the disco/modern songs at the end was outstanding. The hospitality staff onboard the vessel was welcoming, professional and friendly and
constantly checked up on passengers. The food onboard and desserts was plentiful and had a huge variety especially for a small boat. Good value to have a buffet, desserts, drinks package and entertainment on this cruise

Harbour spirit vessel was clean and modern with air conditioned interiors which was mostly kept at a comfortable temperature but felt freezing at times. The vessel also has a huge outdoor deck which would make it nice to view fireworks on NYE. Since this was a very wide vessel, it made it very stable where the rocking was very minimal.

Unfortunately there were two issues which I believe Harbourside cruises could fix hence I removed a star. Firstly some of the music towards the end contained inappropriate language/swear words which I don't mind however this was a family friendly cruise with children onboard. Secondly the air vent above seating booth 29 was dripping water/condensation onto the tables and seats.

The whole experience was average. Considering the numbers, the check in process outside the quay could have been better organized. The overall cruise time could have been shorter by 2 hours. The food & drinks were okay - not really great. Service was pathetic and the waiting time for food was awful!! The view of the fireworks is the highlight - awesome!!
