The cruise was a great budget option with good food, shrimp, a three-hour journey, music, coffee, tea, and cakes. It was a lovely way to celebrate the holiday season

Celebrated my big 40th birthday with 25 of my friends on Vegabond Halloween theme cruise and it was the best. A bit dissapointed with the smaller looking boat at first in comparison with other boats that has more Halloween decorations and lights, but they make up for it with their service. The cruise director, dj, and staff were really good, lit up the party with the constant food serving, great party music and dj even played Happy Birthday song for me. Ritu the admin was very responsive too. Overall 5 star and highly recommended!!

I went to the Samba dinner cruise with Vagabond and it was an amazing experience! I really enjoyed the time with my friends there. The food was good. We were at the end of the line, so one salad ran out, but the staff made a new plate of salad for us.
The dance show was pretty cool and the night view was amazing too!

Overall very inoffensive experience. We went on the jazz lunch cruise, if you are younger looking for something to do the lunch cruise may not be for you. It felt like I was on a floating RSL which isn’t an issue but wasn’t quite what I was expecting.

The aircon was not working on the bottom floor where we were seated. On a 27 degree day and sunny it got very hot very quickly and the nature of how the ship is configured it was very hard to get relief. There was very little jazz playing, most of the music we heard was through the speakers on some kind of Spotify playlist. The very talented duo that was playing was too quiet to hear at the back of the boat and unfortunately by the time they got up to do their second set no one was paying attention to their hard work.

Food was pretty decent, nothing more to say, I got a good feed.

I think halfway through it I was ready to go, with the mix of limited live music, and stuffy cabin I started to be restless

We had an absolutely fantastic time on the lunch cruise for our 2023 Christmas Party! From start to finish, it was an unforgettable experience. The food was incredibly delicious, with a great variety that everyone enjoyed. The music added the perfect touch, creating a lively and festive atmosphere.

What really stood out was the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, ensuring we had everything we needed. And a special highlight was the raffle ticket draw – such a fun and exciting way to engage everyone!

Overall, I highly recommend this lunch cruise for any event or special occasion. It’s definitely a 5-star experience, and we’ll be talking about it for a long time!

Christmas eve dinner was spectacular with gorgeously made food, nice variety of drinks and wonderfully festive decorations. The live music was a real treat!

We cannot fault the staff at all, the crew were attentive, friendly and the food service was very good with a great selection (plus our dietaries were well catered to).

But that said, I don’t recommend this cruise at all.

In terms of the advertised Jazz Cruise unfortunately it did not meet our expectations. The band were too quiet to be heard over the background noise, and it was a shame that their three sets seemed to be quite short (I timed the last one and it was a little over 20 minutes). Not really suitable entertainment for a three hour Jazz Cruise.

We would have overlooked this if it wasn’t for the broken air conditioning. By about an hour in it was quite stuffy and being in the back row it did mean very occasionally I got a very unpleasant smell from the toilets (which is actually still a fair way away).

The cruise is very leisurely which is great for sightseeing but it does rock around a lot. Not the best combination when in a hot room with stale air. The company does pack a lot of people on board (which of course is understandable), but you definitely need better a/c is doing this. I am not sure how the galley was coping honestly.

The crew were doing the best they could to make it a great experience, but obviously they could only do so much with what they have.

Save your money and pack a picnic and ride the ferries instead. Leaving 2 stars instead of 1 as the crew truly were amazing though…
