Location was good and food was nice.
You had to order food from the bar and collect it yourself - it was hard to find seating so that made it a less enjoyable experience.
Nice place to try but not sure I’ll be returning.

We were welcomed back for a 2nd year’s birthday celebration for our dogs and what a party it was. Weather was windy which allowed for the dogs to not bother any people and we were warmly protected by the marquee. The staff at The Balmain Hotel were accommodating helpful and even joined the celebrations for photos. Food was delicious and a great day/event.

What a great pub on the Balmain Peninsula, it still has that friendly locals feel! It has a great beer garden with live music on weekends. Staff are very friendly and they have a great menu with pub classics to modern Asian. The pub is dog friendly with a gourmet dog menu available. On Friday afternoons they have a free sausage sizzle with a selection of sausages!

Kitchen staff and wait staff are friendly and the food is tasty! Visited the suburb and crossed the ANZAC Bridge 🌉 for the first time yesterday on a Friday to celebrate a good friend's 22nd birthday! He had the greatest idea to have a themed Murder Mystery Scenario Party and all of us invited had an absolute blast!
One of the taps in the Ladies Bathroom was out of order and the bathrooms were a little slippery if I have any complaints....it'll just be three.
My Sirloin 🥩 was also tasty but had to many veins/tendons for my liking and it was a little awkward to spit them out in front of a bunch of people I didn't know very well celebrating a mutual friend's 22nd year on this earth!
The Lemon Lime and Bitters 🍋 🍹 🍋‍🟩 was delicious but with a little ice in a tall glass to wash down the hearty meal with!

The layout inside was also one of the coolest, unique and rustic ones I'd ever seen in a Hotel!

Nevertheless feel like I'll be back in Balmain sometime & therefore The Balmain Hotel which is handily right across from the bus stop!

We we're guests at a 50th birthday party here last weekend and needed to comment. Great pub, friendly & helpful barstaff. The "pub" finger food the team produced in the kitchen was terrific also. Great variety of food, all very tasty and service perfectly timed. Totally recommend 👌

This pub has such a friendly and family vibe that made us feel right at home. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. My son loved the beer garden, and the food is always yummy! The live music is also so good. It is such a chill vibe especially when it’s for sports ☺️
