Such a beautiful place! The view is incredible, and the customer service is excellent—they were super nice, attentive, friendly, and detail-oriented. You can also see the chef’s attention to every detail. I highly recommend it. The menu is great for fish lovers, but there are also options for those of us who are allergic to fish.

What a lovely experience on last day of summer.
The weather couldn’t be more perfect. Sunny and warm. All the staff were very polite and kind. They explained the menu and the food while serving it to the table.
The food was fantastic! The focaccia with bottarga butter was so good. It was served warm so the butter just melted and soaked in the focaccia. The spaghetti vongole was so tasty! The best I had so far. The Tagliata and patate was cooked perfectly. The steak was tender and the potato was crispy yet soft at the same time.
Tiramisardo is a must order! They make the tiramisu live on your table and it tastes good.
Glad we came here and highly recommend to visit this place at least once in your lifetime.

Visited this exemplary Italian institution for a fine dining experience after a number of years. And Pilu did not disappoint.

Overlooking Freshwater beach with expansive beach and waterviews, you will immediately be drawn by the lightness and reshfreshing environment. Be sure to ask for a seat near the windows.

From welcome to goodbye, the service was perfect. We were quickly welcomed and ushered in and the menu explained perfectly. The wait staff are all knowledgeable and if you're into your wines, their sommelier is extra helpful.

After the intervening years, I'm also delighted to report that that quality of the food had not diminished.

Having their Sardinian experience degustation gives you an incredible selection of their signature dishes and flavours.

I personally have my favourites which include the vongole pasta (buttery creamy sauce with perfect size fresh pasta), the Sardinian ravioli (like an Italian dumpling and their suckling pig main (perfect crispy skin with melt in your mouth meat).

However, this time around, their Murray cod main also very much hit the spot with smokey grilled skin and perfectly cooked flesh with a unobtrusive sauce that compliments the freshness of the fish.

Their unique cheese pastry with wild honey was a cherry on top type of finish to the meal.

Thank you to the whole Pilu team for making the experience wonderful and looking forward to my next visit!

A New Italian Favourite

Tried the five-course menu at Pilu today, and I think it’s my new go-to for Italian food.

The vongole the best spaghetti I’ve ever had. Cooked perfectly—firm but not too hard or soft. The sauce was thick and full of rich clam flavor, bringing everything together nicely.

The burrata salad was simple but well done. The creamy burrata, sweet ripe peach, and nutty crunchy almonds worked really well together, balancing the flavors perfectly.

The mains could have been better, but overall, the beautiful views, great service, and delicious food made it a place I’d happily return to.

Celebrating my wife’s birthday we enjoyed a five star experience at Pilu from the service to the food to the wine. Casual fine dining at its best and no doubt one of Sydney’s finest restaurants. Giovanni and his skilled team of chefs and front of house service staff never cease to amaze us with exceptional and personable service.

We had a great experience. Exceptional service from all staff, in particular Pepe and the sommelier. It's very rare to taste proper Sardinian food and wine in Sydney, and everydish was succulent. I definitely recommend it.
