This place is not bad, the service is good staff were friendly. The food was good, the fish were nice and crispy. Their Panna cotta however was average though, it was a bit dry in my opinion. It has pistachio and mango bits which was nice but I don't think the dry coconut should be in it. But that's just me

Had a great time here, the BYO is a plus. They have lots of offers on throughout the week & have 50% off on the last Sunday of the month. Food was good, the signature fries are 10/10, but I would avoid the baby octopus entrée as they were quite rubbery and flavourless. We also got the large prawn hotpot - this came with 7 prawns with nice flavour although sauce was a bit runny; the steak frites - nice cook on the steak, fries were the star of the show; and lobster rolls - great filling ratio and nice flavour. Would definitely return when theres offers available. All of this for $55 is fantastic for a Sunday lunch!

Can you believe this is Gluten Free!! An absolute dream!! To be able to have battered fish and chips!! So yummy! Highly recommend! Plus my fussy ass 5 year old polished off his piece of fish (decent size) plus his dad’s grilled snapper, which was also delicious. Mushy Peas I also highly recommend plus it is such a relaxed summer vibe. Thank you Thank you Thank you Edison, you have made Coeliacs everywhere eternally grateful!!

I could eat this everyday! For someone who doesn’t like seafood I was blown away by how delicious the food is and how I am now loving seafood. They have all bases covered here so when I don’t feel like seafood I can have a delicious tender & juicy steak or an amazing vegetarian option. The wine is delicious I am particularly loving the Savannah Rosé and the service top notch. The new owner is doing an amazing job!

The food was alright, the main dishes were good but the entree we got wasn’t as expected.

Ceviche was just with lime zest but not juice at all. Not bad, but it’s supposed to be there.

Ambiance was a bit dark inside, has lot more of potential.

It has been really challenging to find good quality of fish since we moved to Sydney January last year especially gluten free battered fish, so happy to have found this place - good quality of fish, flaky and fresh (no fishy taste). We ordered hoki fish & chips (GF) & grilled snapper.

Friendly staffs as well, definitely will come back!

What a gem we've found in our suburb. Do yourself a favour and explore the menu of this newish restaurant in Balgowlah. It's a hidden secret - offering a sumptuous and varied menu, with excellent quality produce and presentation. We celebrated our son's girlfriend's birthday and it was perfect - from the delicious entrees (generous and served so quickly) to the mains. The fish was so fresh, and if you order anything at all, make sure you try the traditional beer battered flathead - the serving was enormous but super delicious. My 24 year old can usually eat enough for two, and it was too much for him - a truly generous quantity of high quality fish. The cocktails are so worth going a little earlier in the evening for - the 2 for 1 deal is great value. We're going to make this our new local favourite!! Well done to the chef and the owners for returning that old Fish cafe spot to even greater levels of glory and fantastic food.

Good seafood. Simply cooked and packed with beautiful flavours. Only the zucchini flowers were a letdown.
The staff was attentive and friendly. Very switched on, too. They had us moved to a better table with impeccable timing, and none of us ever had to think about reaching out to the bottle as our glasses seemed to remain full. It took 3 empty bottles for the wine to stop pouring. BTW, I strongly recommend their 🥂 TALO San Marzano 🥂! Beautiful and fresh wine! Worked wonderfully well with the seafood.
