We stayed here twice recently for one-night stopovers on our way to and from the Sunshine Coast and both stays were excellent. The rooms were clean, comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. We stayed in a Queen Cabana room with a sofa bed, which worked well for our family of three.

The location was very convenient, and road noise wasn’t an issue during either stay. The staff were friendly, and the coffee van out front was great for a quick caffeine fix and a bite to eat before hitting the road.

We’d definitely stay here again.

Lovely, recently refurbished retro-style room. The owner/manager lady was friendly and worn out of her way to be helpful. A little coffee van was out the front and served great coffee and light breakfasts. There was a refreshing pool to relax in. Beds were very comfortable. Will definitely stay again. Walking distance to town, restaurants and clubs.

We had a photoshoot in Byron Bay and drove here for about 15-20 minutes, which turned out to be a great choice. The room is spacious, clean, and perfect for our equipment, plus the price is great too. The receptionist was very nice and helpful guy, recommending a nearby restaurant and shops. Another good thing, there is a gas station nearby. The room also had bright, cheerful colors that we all loved;) Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Art Deco'ish style renovated Motel. The room and bathroom were clean and modern. The staff are helpful and friendly. The pool and surrounds are well maintained. Covered parking.

No complaints about this little gem. Good price, very nice simple clean room, comfortable bed, small kitchenette with microwave, toaster, plates, cutlery and kettle.
Better than motels twice the price.

Super cute little motel with a California ‘60’s vibe in the outdoor areas. Nice little pool & BBQ area - all spotless. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in a cleaner or tidier property. Reception was very helpful & late check-in was simple & convenient. Family room has a king bed & two king singles - we slept really well.

The rooms are spacious and freshly decorated .( new paint, new tiles in the bathroom & cooking areas) Crisp white with striking red that creates a pleasant feel. There is also a comfortable lounge area for relaxing. ||There is under cover parking outside the unit and as each unit is a low level unit access is easy, particularly for people with mobility issues.||The community kitchen on site is convenient and useful for guests.||The staff at reception and also the house staff were all friendly and helpful.||Rooms were serviced daily.||The coffee van outside that was open every morning was a lovely addition.||Cubana Ballina is handy to the downtown area and restaurants and clubs in that part of Ballina. They are about 600 metres away so easy walking. It is also handy to shopping at 2 major shopping centres where there are coffee shops , shopping and a cinema complex.||The Cubana Ballina is definitely price competitive so worthy of consideration for anyone visiting Ballina and surrounds.
