Rang the store to find out the opening hours. The staff member was rude, saying that the store hours have been on display for over 2 weeks. I don't think this attitude is good

Smells of rot and death constantly at the back corner fridges, especially bad lately. Terrible stock selection.

I basically use this Coles like I would a little General Store.
Don’t bother trying to get any money out at a register, you are constantly told they don’t have enough in the register. What they don’t have $80 at 11:30 am .
I’m an increasingly finding I come away without certain items I need because of poor restocking.
Have tried to call the store on numerous occasions but the phone is never answered.
Wish they had a fresh bakery section,
Too much space dedicated to personal care aisle for such a small store, half the space would be quite adequate freeing up space to stock more pantry items which are bought on a more regular basis than shampoo , body wash etc.
Probably not much will change 🙄

-Minimal stock on a regular basis.
-80% of fresh produce expires within three days.
-Younger staff are miserable.
-No room to move at checkout end-caps when theres more than two people waiting.

Increasingly over the past 12 months I have noticed a decline in the service provided by Coles at Alstonville.
I believe that the management are not keeping up with the increased demand by the local population which is growing.
The carpark is often very full is direct contrast to the supermarket shelves. There are regularly gaps in the product range, usually filled if at all by Coles own brand. This leads to very little choice.
The fruit and veg is also disappointing in its quality and freshness.
I would also ask why it is necessary to conduct shelf refills during peak shopping times. Is it not possible to perform this task when the store is closed to the public?
As has been mentioned by previous reviewers there is little room to move between the checkouts and the end of the grocery bays. The same applies to the freezer and cold chill end of the store. Very often this area is impinged upon by boxes of “special” foodstuffs.
Add to that an employee trying to restock and movement around these bays becomes very difficult.
I’m afraid like many others I will vote with my feet and shop at Woolworths at Goonellabah!!!
Come on Coles (if you read this) lift your game and provide the residents of Alstonville with the service they deserve.
