Great beach starting at Congo for surfing or bringing the family. There’s a lovely long shallow pool behind a sandbar on Congo Beach for kids to swim in safely.
The walk along the track is beautiful and the beach is definitely one of the south coasts finest.

A beautiful walk that takes you through bush and beach. There are some incredible and unspoilt views along the way. The full walk makes for a long but rewarding day. The area near Coila Lake, towards Tuross can sometimes get very boggy or flooded.

Update: after doing the walk a second time, it is even better than I thought. This time the weather was perfect, the track was completely dry and I got to experience it in all its glory. We also managed to do it in about 3 hours instead of 5. Highly recommend.
