The Underground Motel has dugouts for your accommodation. The rooms looks exactly as portrayed, very clean and cool - the bathrooms are separate, easy to navigate and plenty. A small concession for the overall experience.| It has a museum and a top viewing area for sunrise and sunset. The dining room is warm and welcoming with a lovely wood fire oven, a lounge area and TV for communal use with a few separate tables for groups to play cards etc - there is even a small library.|A complimentary continental breakfast is a great way to start the day and they also provide hearty evening meals. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.

This motel is such a great, unique experience! Despite being underground, our room felt very spacious. Good quality sheets, comfy beds, extra blankets. Bathrooms clean and tidy.
The service was amazing, very friendly. The team offered great suggestions on how to spend our time in White Cliffs.
Dinner was extremely good - highly recommend a meal here!
Some great history of the motel and the town is presented in one of the dug-out areas, makes for very interesting reading!
Thanks for having us, we had a blast!

We came here for dinner, staff were welcoming, kids has a ball exploring all the corridors of the hotel. Food was ok, don’t expect too much quality but it served its purpose. Not too many options to eat out for travellers in White Cliffs.

The staff were extra helpful and extremely friendly.Loved the whole experience.Our room was close to Bathroom, which is a must otherwise you may lose direction underground.We will be back. My husband was ok pleasantly surprised about the whole underground experience.

I was so looking forward to spending a night here with my family at the end of 2024 and made a booking months ago.
Terribly disappointed when they send me an email three weeks before we are due to arrive advising that they are closing down early this year and my booking is cancelled.

This was a unique experience in the Australian Outback. We were visiting this region of New South Wales in our camper, and decided a night in an underground motel was going to be fun - and fun it was! It was so much larger than I had expected, with many rooms equating to lots of hallways to connect them.||I can get lost easily, so this was quite an adventure for me to find my way around and I loved it. We traversed the 'stairway to heaven' to get up to ground level and take gorgeous sunset photos. The bathrooms, whilst shared, were plentiful and never a wait. They were spacious, clean and modern. Our room was also very spacious with queen bed, single bed, duchess, luggage rack and wardrobe.||There was a whole history area of multiple rooms and a huge table to seat 12 that catered for groups. There were many framed stories and photos of the history of the area, and were quite informative.||The Chef made a special dinner to cater to my dietary requirements, and the Manager was very friendly and helpful. All in all it could not have been better for us. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

It was truly an amazing experience. It is definitely a place to stay in an environment that is definitely worth seeing. The employee at the reception was extremely polite and helpful. Thanks to Chef Pablo's cooking, this hotel has become the best restaurant to be found in the outback. Also, Chef Pablo is a very communicative person, you can learn a lot about the region by talking to him.

Great place to visit and stay. The rooms are carved out in a rabbit Warren pattern underground. Second, stay and worth it if you're visiting White Cliffs, which is a friendly, great opal town to visit m.
