Check-in was very smooth. The person was friendly and efficient. Room was very clean, a good size and all expected features were provided. The only negative is the breakfast which is provided in the adjacent Canberra Labour Club. This is an area for improvement.

The check-out process was also very efficient. It is the 3rd time I have stayed in the hotel and will return again.

Despite being in a dreary part of Canberra this hotel ticked all the boxes for me & the direct access to the Labor Club was a definite bonus for drinks & a meal.|Check in was faultless &included a room upgrade. Had to manage our own bags but that was no big deal.|Room was beyond my expectations, being spacious & spotlessly clean.|Our prepay deal also meant the hotel was good value.

Service is horrific!
Zero explanation about the divided lifts and the floors they service.
Wrong information given about the opening times of the local shopping centre & I order additional alcoholic drinks from room service and none were delivered!
The parking is also precarious as it’s an open car park attached to the hotel and the general public can park there too. It just leaves your car more acceptable to break ins.

We have now stayed twice at the Mecure Belconnen and can't fault it.
Rooms are excellent, staff very helpful. Value for money, far greater than other motels we had previously stayed at in Canberra.

Car park is bit tricky as this building combines residential apartments, labor club and hotel. Amenities are upon request, they keep only essential items in the room. Clock, facial towels are not counted as essential. However based on the room rate, I take it.

Hotel checkout is 10am which is ridiculous. Times have moved on. Breakfast is woeful. For a new hotel it’s like being transported back to 1999 in some respects. Fruit selection is three different types of melon, long wait for hot food to be replenished. Everything is done using the cheapest ingredients possible. Rooms are nice but get warm and only way to cool them down is using aircon which is set to auto so is very noisy. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Was staying in this hotel prior to attending local hospital next morning. Explained situation and was permitted 1/2 hour early check-in to commence hospital preparation. Very impressed with standard of the room and very comfortable bed. Would certainly return.
