Wilma or The Pearl Hotel? That might be the first question coming to whoever wants to visit this place for the first time.

Wilma bills itself as a progressive Asian barbeque restaurant and The Pearl an Asian-inspired cocktail and “snax” bar. The sisters – one formal and one casual – entered the Canberra dining scene in December 2021. So simply put, Wilma is a formal Asian BBQ restaurant whileas The pearl is a casual bar even though you can think of them as two names under one resaurant.

The vibe was great especially on weekeend nights. The food was more than palatable. It indeed has a lot of Chinese/Asian concepts in the dishes. As this is a bar, you expect the serving is on the small side.

Absolutely blown away by the food, service and cocktails. Came here for dinner in the evening, and the staff were amazing, catering to us and our young son and making sure we were all looked after. The food was delicious too, and couldn't fault it at all, and it arrived promptly even though they were busy. Special thanks to Evie who absolutely smashed it with absolutely fantastic service.

My friends and I went out for dinner few days back and were served by Jessica, who had such great energy that lit up the atmosphere. The food was top-notch, and the drinks couldn’t have been better. We will surely come by again.

I recently had the pleasure ofhaving drinks at The Pearl Hotel, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The service throughout genuinely made me feel welcome.

A special shoutout to the gentleman who served me at the bar. His professionalism, warmth, and knowledge were second to none. He went out of his way to recommend drinks that perfectly suited my preferences, and his energy truly added to the atmosphere. The bar itself had such a great vibe stylish, relaxed, and the perfect place to unwind after a long day.

Overall, The Pearl Hotel delivered on every level, combining excellent service with a memorable ambiance. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-tier experience!

I was bummed when kokomos closed down as I loved their food, even though everyone only went there for the cocktails. Glad to see the venue has kept the quality and high level of service, though pricier. Loved it all - the Yuzu cocktail, chicken salad, market fish, wagyu and pork belly.

Very disappointing service. The barman we had was quite rude to one of our group. Drinks were left sitting on top of the bar by the mixologist while he made other drinks - not for our table -until I went and collected them myself. (we were told the drinks would be brought to the table) The food is OK albeit quite salty. It was a quiet Monday evening with very few patrons yet the staff appeared rushed and hassled. Poor service right at the beginning of the evening unfortunately marred the whole experience.

This place was highly recommended. We got the kingfish sashimi and the wagyu small plate. Both were delicious. The eggplant was very crispy, which my husband did not enjoy but I did, and the scallops were good. They were so incredibly spicy, however. My husband was sweating!
