We spent two nights at the Pavilion hotel & what an amazing experience it was. The hotel has a fabulous atrium, filled with enormous palms, ferns & varied plants. You can sit at the bar or dine in their restaurant, surrounded in greenery. We stayed in the one bedroom apartment & what an experience it was. The room was fantastic, one of the most comfortable beds we've slept in when away & the pillows also great. There was a huge, walk in shower & a separate kitchen, dining area & lounge. |We chose to eat at the restaurant for the two nights & every meal was superb. The Eton style mess, divine!!!!|The staff were attentive, especially Maya at reception, who handled our check-in & out.|We will return to the Pavilion hotel whenever we stay in Canberra again. It is close to so many attractions as the War Memorial & city centre.

We always stay at this hotel when we visit Canberra. This time the booking was with just 2hrs notice yet my room request was granted. The rooms are clean, the beds are extremely comfortable. It's very good value and after a long drive and a busy day it's great to just go downstairs to the Atrium Bar & Restaurant. Happy hour from 4-6pm is an added bonus! Definitely recommend it.

Staff are nice. Rooms were old, the cleaning was bad. Cups hadn’t been washed, and the bed sheets smelt terrible. The bed had a massive break in the springs and was so uncomfortable to sleep in. Even when room was cleaned, still smelt bad. Food at restaurant was average and some meals were undercooked (had hard and cold ravioli). Nil microwave in rooms. You can hear everyone in their room, in yours - showering, talking and thumping around. Also weird bangs from the pipes all night. Don’t recommend staying here.

But these reviews that demand answers like min 200 characters are annoying not to mention off putting. Let the reviewer decide how long it should be. Be happy with a good review no matter how short!

The bed linen and towels were clean and a positive. So too the central foyers where the rooms are. Be warned if you are a larger person, the bed in our room was so soft it caused back issues and forced me to sleep on the lounge.
The rest of the room was not cleaned properly, and a few cockroaches made their presence known. Be careful when booking the rooms, the website only shows one bedroom apartment rooms as an option on the front page. However when you go into the booking page, there is a one bedroom suite option. The expectation set up from the front page is that we were booking a one bedroom apartment, and did not know the two would be different. Beware, the one bedroom suite does not have a fully equiped kitchen. We've stayed at better, cheaper places in the A.C.T..

Loved our stay at The Pavillon - you simply could not get better value for money in Canberra. Best surprise was the Restaurant - again great value for money and good food. Staff all very pleasant - my only suggestion is I would love to dust the palms. Thank you for a pleasant stay and we will return.

This is a great hotel at an excellent price with an outdoor pool, bar and restaurant in central atrium has a relaxed feel and great food. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. I will be staying here again on my next trip

Apart from a large rip in the carpet and the shower which was either hot or cold it was a well equipped room. Comfortable and quiet.
The buffet breakfast was great. Some of the best breakfast sausages I’ve had at a breakfast buffet. Complimentary parking was very good too.
