I did not know what to expect in Uzbekistan but found it a wonder of history, architecture, stunning mosaics, tiles, textiles and delicious food. Being at the crossroads of the Great Silk Road, it became a melting pot for the best of all the cultures that travelled the road.
I was attracted to the tour by the artisan and textile market visits and am still excited by our immersion in the culture through many and varied experiences and artisan visits.
I loved that Uzbekistan is off the beaten track and does not have the crowds of most European cities. I loved that I felt safe going out alone in the evenings to photograph the beautifully backlit buildings and will miss the delightful and considerate Uzbek people.
Nicole is an outstanding tour leader. She set a new level for small group tours from her pre-tour meetings, advice and useful welcome pack to focusing our experiences on our interests and all the little extras to ensure we were always safe, comfortable and happy.
This was my first Red Door Tour, but definitely not my last!!!

I was very lucky to travel on the first tour of Uzbekistan run by Nicole Farrell of Red Door Tours. It was a magical experience and the trip of a lifetime. We travelled all around the country. visiting exotic markets, beautiful mosques and monuments and visited local artisans who kindly shared their expertise with us. The people were always generous, kind and always helpful. We travelled as a group of 14 on private buses, trains and planes. Nicoles expert guidance and flair for logistics meant this all went smoothly and her warmth and good humour meant it was always fun.
I would thoroughly recommend Red Door Tours for anyone interested in seeing exotic locations with a small group of like minded people at a very reasonable cost.

Home for a full week of my usual life.
Now surrounded with amazing memory prompts from Uzbekistan. Ceramic bowls, paper from mulberry fibre, silk scarves and Suzanne work, skull caps, an amazing tablecloth and two preloved wall hangings. Bob’s love of birds is apparent and influenced my selections.

Nicole you provided a perfect tour that satisfied my need to tour The Spice Road places in a safe and friendly way. I would certainly recommend Red Door tours to other solo travellers looking for small group travellers eager to explore and learn from each other and the culture of Red Door chosen locations.

My tour to Morocco was absolutely fabulous! It was my first organised tour - it was stress free and I always felt so safe!
Nicole has designed a tour that gives you so many highlights - the Sahara, the changing scenery of the country, the riads, the Medinas, learning about the Moroccan people - they are so friendly and welcoming. It is impossible to choose a favourite highlight, I just loved it all ❤️
The variety of food was also fantastic, the fish kebabs in Essaouira were beyond delicious.
Our guides Nicole and Mohamed along with driver Hassan were delightful company, nothing was ever too much trouble and we had a lot of laughs along the way. Thank you all for showing me beautiful Morocco I will look forward to touring with Red Door Tours again, I can hear Uzbekistan calling!

I loved this tour and the flexibility it allowed when catering for individual needs. Our mode of transport, driver and guide were excellent. Both hotel and riad accommodations were a far better standard than I was expecting. Nicole was available and responsive in guiding and advising when necessary. Morocco is a vibrant, diverse land. Its people are hospitable, warm, and welcoming. So many sights and sounds over the past couple of weeks! I'd definitely recommend Red Door Tours and the Moroccan adventure and can see myself returning in the future.
