Had the most beautiful 3 night stay at Fiona in Serpentine. The cabin is gorgeous and very well thought out. Everything you could have needed was there. I spent my days reading, by the fire, in the bath and enjoying my time out in nature. The Heyscape team also provided lots of information prior to my arrival which made check in very easy. Would 100% recommend, I will definitely be back.

Terrible Experience – Would Not Recommend

My recent stay at the Jack Cabin from was shortened to 5 hours. The stay was supposed to be January 5-7, 2025, turned into an absolute nightmare. What should have been a relaxing getaway quickly became a stressful and frustrating ordeal. Upon arrival at 4:45 PM, everything seemed fine. But by 6:30 PM, we discovered there was no water, no power. After calling the provided number for assistance, we were left troubleshooting a faulty generator for over an hour in a cramped room with unclear instructions.

We had to figure it out ourselves while our dinner plans were ruined, forcing us to buy food at a nearby fuel station. When we returned to the cabin around 9:15 PM, the path was pitch black, with no lights to guide us. To make matters worse, the generator emitted a burnt petrol smell and smoke, making us feel unsafe. We were left with no choice but to continue trying to fix it ourselves, all while our two young dogs were left in the dark without power.

The lack of support was the most frustrating part. We repeatedly called for help, but reached voicemail every time. No maintenance staff came to assist us, and we were essentially told to deal with the issues ourselves as they said that maintenance is too far away.

This experience ruined our stay and caused significant financial and emotional stress. We lost $100 in spoiled groceries, $300 from a canceled photoshoot, additional out-of-pocket expenses for food, and wasted time troubleshooting instead of enjoying our vacation.

We expected a peaceful and relaxing experience, but instead, we were left feeling traumatized and unsettled. I would strongly advise against staying here unless you’re prepared to handle major issues on your own.

We were told that there was nothing that could be done as there are no maintenance around, and no other dog friendly cabin to go to, as we already brought our dogs and was 1.5 hr away from home. We were essentially forced to drive home in long 100km/hr road for 1.5 hrs in the middle of the night!

I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and reaches out to offer compensation for the time, money, and distress this experience caused.

*EDIT 16/1/25
We have received our full refund + cash compensation with the help from Emily from Heyscape which we are very happy about. We will give Heyscape another shot as we have received a free stay at another cabin of our choice. I can’t lie but the customer service has been better than expected. I hope we can try again and change our opinion and experience on this off grid cabin again soon!

My partner and I had an amazing stay at the Flynn cabin in Busselton. The cabin was beautiful and relaxing. Every morning we would wake up and there was Kangaroos and bunnies everywhere. We also had some visits from the cows in the next paddock and the ducklings from the pond nearby.

We have just had an amazing long weekend stay at the Bon Cabin in Yallingup. The cabin was beautifully furnished and very homely, in a totally private setting. We only had cows for company! It certainly exceeded all our expectations. We were fortunate to leave the day a heatwave arrived. I'm not sure how well or how long the aircon would work as it is off grid and solar powered. I guess you could just sit in the bathtub to cool off - under the watchful eyes of those cows. We loved it!

Kings park really. You are breaking to bye-laws of the park and should immediately remove this accomodation. I will certainly never stay at any heyscape properties if you persist with this. I hope others feel the same.

Note that this review is not based on a stay. It is a comment on an organization that is ok to break the bye-laws of the park that it is operating in. I assume by obtaining ministerial approval that would make it legal but not necessarily right. I think it is ok that people know this about the organisation.

Stayed recently at Sam near Serpentine. The cabin was well equipped and the bedding was very comfortable. It was great being able to enjoy the fire pit and view the stars in all their splendor! The communication with Heyscape leading up to the stay was really clear and there was more information to help us enjoy the stay in the cabin. This cabin allowed us to take our dogs who also enjoyed the experience. The property had loads of wildlife including horses and kangaroos. We stayed two nights but came away feeling refreshed and reinvigorated. We will definitely return or check out some of the other locations in the future.

5/5 off-grid experience. Would definitely recommend Heyscape to anyone! It was such a beautiful place to stay for a couple of nights. We stayed at Bon in Yallingup, nearby to local attractions, wineries, and other perfect spots to check out. The cabin itself was situated on a vineyard, with cows coming by as well! It contained everything you needed, everything was just perfect! Ah we wish we could stay longer!

Communication from the Heyscape crew was also very good, they sent emails before your stay with good instructions on how to get there and everything you needed to know and also sent texts about check in times and other important information.

We had a wonderful time, would absolutely recommend!

We stayed at Jack in Toodyay and whilst the tiny home is nice we did not have a great stay. We were without power when we woke on Saturday morning leading to 4 hours without water, a smelly toilet and no shower, with multiple phone calls for assistance and visits from the cleaner to rectify.
We then had two car loads of people turn up on the doorstep to tell us they were cutting firewood nearby.

Whilst listening to sounds of a newly arrived generator and chainsaws we tried to enjoy the peace.

The shower handle is broken and the plug was impossible to remove from the bath without pliers.
The help number you call is in the Phillipines which lead to further delays in fixing the power.

No coffee machine or hammock as advertised also.

I sent an email outlining my disappointment but have only had a generic response from the receptionist in the last week which has prompted this review.

For the price you pay I expected near perfection and Heyscape was not even close to meeting expectations.
