As a teacher in a CARE school working with disengaged and traumaitsed teenagers, I have been very impressed by the understanding and trauma infomed pratcie Jayesh demonstrates in the Barrista skills workshops she faciltates with my students. Jayesh is informative and very skilled at making students feel at ease and helps them acheive skills appropriate to the objectives of the workshop. I can HIGHLY recommend Jayesh and her workshops to indivuals of all ages.

Jayesh Hughes, the managing director, provides an experience and opportunity for our students that they may not ever got. This opportunity allows for them to receive training, experience and opens up potential pathways for them and for their future endeavours.

Alta-1 is so very thankful for Jayesh, the way that she teaches, communicates and has a heart for young people who are currently disadvantaged. The Coffee Barista training has allowed for our students to achieve a new skill, a certificate and a newfound confidence as Jayesh comes alongside them.

Our campus has done training with Jayesh 3 times thus far and the experience and interaction us as staff and our students have had were joyous and very accessible for all the learning stages our students were at.

My experience at Brasser house has been wonderful. Jayesh is passionate, attention to detail, patient, extremely knowledgeable and a lovely person to learn from. I have attended 2 barista training courses with her, taking different students from our Care School. These students have had to face many challenges along the way and having Jayesh help inspire and build confidence in these students has been priceless. They have all learnt to make great coffee and I believe this is a stepping stone for their future employment. Such a rewarding experience to see the morale boost this has given these students. Thank you Jayesh. You are the best!

My daughter Angela attended and completed the Barista Education Basics. We were both impressed with Jayesh background and knowledge of coffee, how to make all the coffees and to pass on all her experience to the participants in the group. My daughter was so happy that she went on to complete the Cafe Stimulation Training and is now trying to gain work experience to continue on to eventually be able to find employment in this field.

Jayesh professionalism, enthusiasm, energy, knowledge and ability to keep her class focused and interacting in all the activities was remarkable. I believe all participants were able to follow her instructions willingly and without any hesitation.

I have a lot of praise for Jayesh and i believe she is a worthy candidate for this award.

Jayesh provides a unique and thorough series of barista training sessions tailored for disabled clients. The training not only involved barista work but in the cafe simulation phase, gave clients experience with taking orders, preparing and serving food, and cleaning up afterwards. It is clear from the outset that Jayesh is strongly motivated to impart skills and attitudes to her clients that will assist them in finding employment. Throughout the sessions, she exudes empathy and great skill in communicating her expertise to her clients. Her enthusiasm for this self-appointed task is infectious and my daughter came away from the sessions with increased confidence in her ability to cope with a hospitality environment and a willingness to consider employment in this area. Many thanks Jayesh for your dedication and kindness. Don Robertson Daglish WA

I have yet to meet a more dedicated person than Jayesh. Her story, her lived experience and her knowledge of coffee has inspired her to help young people especially the disadvantaged.

Jayesh has shared her story with me and I have been a witness to her struggle to establish a business that combined her love of coffee with her other passion, helping disadvantaged to find employment.

JS is like a flowing river. Sometimes she floats along, consolidating until she is ready for the next chapter. And then she hits go and jumps into the white water rapids as she guides her businesses through the turbulence to the next phase of development. It's a joy to witness.

Another huge plus for Jayesh, she isn't afraid to ask for guidance from experienced people.

But it doesn't stop there. She is always willing to take the time to help others in business. Jayesh has become one of the most valued members of my 'inner-circle' of advisors.

Jayesh can count on my friendship and support for as log as she needs.

Jayesh's passion for all things coffee is obvious, and her drive to help the disadvantaged through the popularity of coffee just makes sense. For people to become a part of what is a strong industry, for what is a solid growing stable industry where people can take up many roles that can suit their particular needs just shines through. Go Jayesh and Brasser House, very commendable work and I know we all admire your commitment and tenacity and we wish you every success.
