Bed and pillows are so comfy! Room was extremely clean! When we checked in we were greeted by Sahara who was so lovely, it was a pleasure to deal with her, we could have stayed to chat with her for hours! We were made to feel special from the minute we walked in. Will definitely stay here again ?

This is most certainly a budget hotel. I booked a single room with a ‘view’, the view consisted of a tiny window that opened up into brick walls and aircons.
The streets nearby do not feel safe at all, avoid walking around alone at night near this area. There is no free car parking, the car park is up the road and is often at night with homeless people sleeping there and through the street to come back.
The hotel itself was very unique and I enjoyed the artwork and cottage like decor, though I would not rate it anymore than 3 stars.
Food options around the area limited also, a lot of business’s closed.

I booked and prepaid for 2 nights I arrived at 11.30pm presented m digital drivers licence and booking and payment confirmation to the night manager
He abruptly demanded a passport - or physical drivers licence
I explained I did not carry my wallet and I wasn’t told they needed a physical copy
He yelled “everyone knows that !” And pointed at the printed form on the counter

I said well it wasn’t obvious on my confirmation
He turned away and locked me it!
And now refused to refund the 3”2 nights paid in advance
Also note @ velocity and @virginaustralia who I made the booking through have been no help
I travel interstate every week for work for the last 12 years and have never been refused check in using the government issued digital id
I walked 100 metres checked into the Oaks they gladly accepted my id A better rate modern hotel and most of all pleasant helpful staff
I do not recommend this hotel purely because of the management
And looking at reviews it there is a regular pattern of rude and deceptive behaviour by staff at the European Hotel Perth

I wasn't blown away nor appalled by this hotel. It's fine in many ways, but there were a few things that took away from it. |The staff were friendly, the setting nice enough, the location is very close to the city, tv worked fine, air con worked very well, there's a cafe downstairs and the hotel is only about 7-8 minutes walk from McIver station on the Airport train line.|The downsides include the shower with poor pressure, bathroom basin taps that need to be turned off very tight to prevent dripping water, can't get change for the washing machine, the mattress was very firm which effected my sleep (however that's more a personal thing) and no parking. There are two car parks very nearby, one on Hay St is 24hrs, but can be expensive. |Overall i'd say it's worth considering, but don't expect a modern hotel.

Vintage hotel, clean, easy to find, comfy beds, good hospitality. At night we heard cleaner trucks but not for long. Still can hear neighbour next door though.

Rooms were dinghy and old. Decor from retro era. No hair dryers in standard or single rooms. Not the cleanest rooms either. Reception was not supervised for periods of time and we had to wait for assistance. No change available for the laundry available but they did provide washing powder that was a bonus.

Booked a single bed room for myself in July, room is small but clean and warm, with adequate number of amenities. Abit of noise from the neighboring room, but not loud enough to disturb sleep.

Staff are helpful and friendly. My TV was broken on the first night, but they fixed it on the 2nd day after I reported to them. Location is very convenient, 6 minute walk to Perth station.

Overall, for the price point, I'd say this hotel is a good alternative to a private hostel room if going solo.
