You receive this rating because of the response your manager Raju at the Sydney centrepoint tower buffet provided to me after becoming ill from dining there. It's sad to see an Australian icon become another short cut for greedy corporations. Please train your staff in compassion and care further, and perhaps consider hiring someone who cares about the legacy of the tower and its history.

Consistently horrible experience with this catering company. They contract at the Australian War Memorial, coffee always burnt, servers rude (especially the man with the dreadlocks) food is typically stale. Cant say a good work about them. Also had the displeasure of their staff during a recent wedding at the National Portrait Gallery. The dreadlocked guy (Scott) harassed and abused multiple guests during the evening, was clearly under the influence of drugs and snatched drinks out of the hands of sober guests even refused to get my pregnant wife a cup of tea. I sincerely hope they lose their catering contracts because this has to be the worst company I've ever been exposed to

We have mixed feelings about booking our wedding at the National Gallery of Australia, but we’re ultimately left feeling disappointed with TWG.
When we booked the NGA, TWG were not the contracted caterer. Ultimately we had no choice in using them, and wish to share our experience to others who are considering booking the NGA.

The NGA space itself is stunning- it provided an amazing backdrop for our day.
The food and beverage options offered were great - everyone commented on how excellent the food was and loved the wine selection (particularly the Local options), which TWG worked with us to align with the prior caterer’s selection, which we appreciate.
Whilst the communication with management before our day was good, unfortunately we encountered multiple issues with the operational staff on the day.
We were hopeful that TWG would meet our expectations, however in hindsight the other reviews here on their unprofessionalism and inhospitable nature speak volumes.
We share the following to anyone looking to book TWG at Canberra’s National Gallery:
- The operational staff on the day had a very aggressive and unwelcoming manner. We had several communication issues with them directly and our guests experienced outright hostility. From reading other reviews, it seems as though this unprofessional and inhospitable manner may be present throughout other TWG managed venues? Or a larger cultural problem? Specifically, based on our experience, if booking a wedding at NGA, we would recommend that you request Scott does not work your event as he put off nearly all of our guests (which is significant, as we had over 140 people attend). Our issues with him include his unprofessional management of alcohol service, such as snatching drinks out of guests hands, and being incredibly rude to the mother of the groom. We strongly recommend that you request another Operational Manager to help run your night.
- The venue booking time is until midnight (which is great!) however ensure TWG clearly confirms drink package end time AND cash bar until end time if this is what you’re after (as this resulted in issues on our night). If you anticipate your guests enjoying some drinks, reconsider booking this venue at all - as between security and the operational team, you’d think they had never hosted a wedding before.
- The inbuilt speakers in Gandel Hall are not sufficient for a dance floor, even though they’ll state they are. Would recommend you book band/DJ.
- You will really need to push TWG to clarify a lot of details/communication with suppliers. If you’re not in a position to do this, I would recommend hiring an Event Manager for the day - as although TWG were good in the lead up, our celebrant, MC and videographer all reported that there was seemingly a hands-off approach to coordination the night of the wedding which created unnecessary stress to our suppliers.

We raised our concerns with TWG and whilst they assured us that had investigated internally, the outcome was essentially an apology with no acceptance or accountability of the unprofessional behaviour experienced by a number of our guests.
IMO: Given how much you will undoubtedly pay, you deserve to have an issue-free day where you can enjoy your time with your guests - unfortunately, this was not our experience. Get your photos here, and book another venue for the reception.

The highlight of any event is often the food, and in this case, it was a major letdown. All dishes, but particularly the lamb served at the event was not up to the standard one would expect for a corporate gathering. The meat was gamy and disappointingly chewy, garnering negative feedback from numerous attendees. The subpar quality of the food significantly impacted the overall enjoyment of the event.

Unprofessional Service:
The service provided by Trippas White Group was another aspect that fell short of expectations. Two service staff, including site manager Cameron Henry Blake, exhibited a lack of professionalism during the event. There were instances of rudeness, and it was evident that the staff was not encouraged to go above and beyond to ensure guest satisfaction. The overall demeanour of these service team suggested that they were not happy to be working, which created an unwelcoming atmosphere.

Poor Staff Morale:
The attitude of the service staff and lack of flexibility for changing circumstances which are normal at events reflected a lack of good work ethics. It was apparent that the team was not motivated to provide a positive experience for the guests. The absence of enthusiasm and a willingness to excel in their roles contributed to a lacklustre atmosphere at the event. A motivated and happy staff is crucial for the success of any catering service, and unfortunately, this was sorely lacking.

In conclusion, based on my recent experience, I cannot recommend Trippas White Group for corporate events. The combination of mediocre food, unprofessional service, and poor staff morale made the event less enjoyable for both organisers and attendees. It is clear that there are improvements needed in various aspects of their service delivery. Unfortunately, I will not be considering Trippas White Group for future events and would advise others to explore alternative catering options.

We hosted our wedding at Centennial Homestead. From the moment stepped onto the property for our site visit with Aline, throughout the planning/ organising process with Leena and the on the BIG day with Ricardo, we knew we had the best team behind us. Everything was flawless. No request was too big or small and they made us feel so comfortable. Each one of them was a pinnacle part of our big day and we couldn't have created our wedding without them. We're forever grateful for the amazing experience every step of the way. Our guests continue to send us compliments and praises for the venue and their team. Our wedding was honestly perfect, we were in the best hands.

Recently dealt with Rhiann Wynne from this company, she was my sister's wedding planner at Taronga Zoo. Cannot sing this lovely woman enough praises!! Thanks to her, my sister's day ran so beautifully and so smoothly. Nothing was too hard for Rhiann, she wore many hats that day and her expertise was outstanding. She sorted dress issues, flower issues and running-of-the-day issues in a calm and confident manner. She was always where you needed her to be and did it all with a smile on her face! Rhiann, you were an absolute pleasure to deal with, thank you for making my sister's day so special and so easy. What an asset to Trippas you are!!
