Our first visit to Commercial Bar & Kitchen, but definitely not our last. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with great service from both the bar staff. Very knowledgeable and helpful with choosing our first drinks. Delighted to see 2 real fires warming the place on this cold wet evening. The menu choice was wide and varied. I went for the crispy pork which was Devine. Found out it had been slow cooked over night and perfectly crisp crackling which my wife thought was the “best ever”. She chose Jambalaya which was superb, very freshly made and so tasty. Really could not fault the food quality or pricing. The bonus, we got to meet the great Nepalese chef who talked us through his menu and his healthy approach. This is definitely borne out by the menu choice (particularly the dessert menu choices). Cannot recommend this place more highly. Looking forward to our next visit

Great little pub, food was tasty, wait staff were friendly and attentive. Only let down was my Jumbalay came to table 4mins before my wifes steak sanga, 4mins is not long unless your waiting to eat with your partner, however we will go back to try again.

Super impressed. The food is fresh and delicious, it’s a great spot inside and out, it’s ahead of its time (and place). Best pub in Midland area. We will be back often.

Has a much nicer vibe now that it has been renovated without losing its charm, and it's a very pleasant place to be. It also has an intimate outdoor area. The staff were efficient and friendly, and the food was great overall, but my dish (Thai beef salad) was a bit too salty, which I did let them know, so that might be different next time. We had a really enjoyable evening, so there definitely will be a next time.

A great local!

A bit of a hidden gem with good vibes and food. I was worried it won’t be suitable for kids but the dining area was bright and clean on a Sunday evening, with lots to love on the menu, and a wide selection on tap.

Food was well executed, and my only minor complaint would be that my steak was a tad dry (from the cut and not the cook) though it was cooked evenly through medium rare.

Sauces (mushroom with my steak, tomato relish with the Mancini, etc.)are usually an indication for me the quality of the chef, and this place is definitely great. Choice of cuts of meat are understandably low for pub grub, so I’d say that’s the only thing limiting the food from being fantastic. The wife enjoyed the jambalaya a lot.

A great little place to watch sports, with prices you’d expect from such an establishment. I’ll be back again!

I requested a regular drink to be put in a specific glass that was readily available. Was happy to pay extra if required but the bar attendant and manager refused my polite request. Piss poor effort in my opinion regardless of all excuses.Will not be going back there again.

Fantastic hidden gem. Consistently great food and service from staff. Half price oysters on Tuesday are a stand out. Great atmosphere and owners have done well to incorporate Midlands history into the bar.

Tonight was our 3rd time coming here for dinner. First two were for family parties, but tonight was just us for date night. We have been impressed every time we come.

The staff were very friendly, quick to serve, and quick to deliver the food to the table and clean it once we had finished. Definitely had a family run business vibe, you can tell they are genuine and happy to help.

The food was delicious. We had the Jambalaya with added Garlic Baguette, which paired nicely when extra hungry. We also ordered the Mushroom and Goats Cheese Arancini which was super tasty, even for a non-vego like me. The Oysters were also fresh, and tasty with the mignonette sauce.

It was quiet on a Tuesday night, yay for us, with half price Oysters, amongst other specials for other nights of the week.

Ignore that it’s in Midland, do yourself a favour and just give this place a go. You won’t be disappointed.
