Location of the weekly Manjimup Parkrun…
The access road off Perup Road is not sealed, so dusty in summer and muddy in winter.
Would be a great spot for a walk/bbq/picnic

King Jarrah tree about 2klms out of the town of Manjimup. Easy access in gravel road, plenty of parking, for long vechiles as well. The main area information board, table and chairs, walking trails. First display is a cut section of a tree, which is a birth tree of Queejup, a Noongar Stockman lived in the late 1800s. Then about 80m to King Jarrah tree which has a elevated boardwalk around the tree trunk. This is a lovely bush setting that is great for picnics and exploring.

I admire all these old trees...especially this King Jarrah...one might say it is just an ordinary Jarrah tree....but if you look closely...you can feel the struggles it has endured. Look around it...NOT one other old trees around.

Saw heaps of flowers on a springtime walk through this small reserve near Manjimup, anchored by the huge Jarrah tree, fortunately saved from logging.

Nice to stop at for a few mins if nearby, but it is just a large tree. There’s much more interesting stuff, both natural and human made, in and around the heritage park in the middle of Manjibup.
