I stayed at Normalee from mid-June to the end of September, and I must say the place is truly beautiful. It’s surrounded by nature, yet only about 15 minutes by car from town. One of the things I appreciated the most is that they take care of finding you work to complete your 88 days, and they do it really well—they are committed to helping you finish as quickly as possible.

At first, you might feel a bit disoriented, but after a few days, it starts to feel like home. It’s a bit like living in a large shared house since everyone stays there for at least three months. Having a car is highly recommended, as it’s not easy to reach shops on foot.

The only aspect that could be improved is attention to detail—some things have worn out over time and could use some fixing.

Back then, it used to be known as Tobacco Park. It was such fun and refreshing to experience farm life after the hectic university life in Perth. Mr. John, an architect who was running the hostel at that time, was a fatherly figure and took good care of us. If anyone has been to this place in 2005, holler at me.

My experience at Normalee was very good. The place it’s a wonderfull place and people are very friendly.
Khalid, the manager of the hostel, is a very good and kindness person, always be there for us since the first day. he finds a job very quickly. Moreover, he brings us, when we need, in town, for shopping or for work. If you have a problem, Khalid has a solution.
I did all my farm days in Manjimup and it was wonderfull.

Fantastic hostel, fantastic place, especially fantastic people who welcome you with affection. Here I have spent 2 fantastic years, after 2 years of working holiday visa I met many people in the hostel. And above all I was super good as in the family with Naomi, Bella, Mikey, Rita and Johnny. I returned to this hostel for vacation and to greet everyone in 2017. For me it is and the most peaceful and beautiful place. I recommend it to many who want to work, rest and stay in the magnificent nature. ?

I’ve been 8month in Normalee and was really good experience.
I felt like in a big family, always listening, helpful with backpackers and clean place.

Had a great time at Normalee with the new owner Khalid who I gather had some fairly big boots to fill. Khalid does a fantastic job finding you a job and making the place feel like home. The people I met there were just awesome, playing pool, table tennis, football by the lake and even a sing-song guitar session one evening. It is out the way from town but the organised lifts into Manjimup make it easy. Lack of WiFi is probably the only negative but you can get by with data. Good place to come to for your 88 days.

Best days. Best memories. You are in the middle of nowhere, phone signal will reflect this but that’s not a bad thing. Not always the cleanest but it’s an impossible place to clean given its situation and the work everyone does. But at the end of the day these things aren’t important. Naomi does an incredible job, she is fantastic and the friends I made here have given me some of the best memories and set me up for the amazing life I lead now, many years later and half a world away.

Absolutely the best place to complete your farm days! Amazing hostel in the middle of the nature...I’ve met so many beautiful people from all over the world, I spent nearly 1 year here(because I really like it but I finished my farm days in less than 4 mounts)i worked on many different farms. I recommend this place to anyone that’s wants a good time while completing their regional work?
