The tour of Kununurra with Steve was an exceptional experience that exceeded all my expectations. From sunrise to sunset, every place we visited was filled with breathtaking natural beauty and picturesque landscapes. The tour was perfectly organized, combining hiking with relaxing boat rides, making the journey well-suited to our needs. Steve’s knowledge of the local flora and fauna was impressive, and his storytelling about the region was fascinating. He not only shared insights into the plants and animals but also practical tips, like using bark as footing in muddy areas. His enthusiasm and passion for Kununurra truly enriched our experience. In summary, the tour was worth every dollar. I highly recommend this trip to anyone wanting to fully experience the wonders of Kununurra in a professional and personalized manner. It’s an investment in unforgettable experiences and exceptional service.

Absolutely fantastic day - cannot recommend Steve from Silent Tours more highly! We spent a few hours in the morning on a 4WD tour to Keep River Nat Park to see the ‘mini Bungle Bungles’ followed by an afternoon on the Ord River, finishing the day enjoying wine, cheese & crackers watching the sunset over Elephant Rock! All this was organised by Steve at the last minute, without any fuss, when I sent an e-mail enquiry late previous evening to check on availability following day. Steve planned around our timeframe, interests & weather forecast to make sure we had a great day. All other tours I looked into were ridiculously priced & involved big groups doing set activities - Steve’s tour was designed just for us & shockingly WAY MORE affordable!! Very keen to do another tour or 2 with Steve if we are back in the area - loved every minute!

We spent four excellent days visiting a number of locations around Kununurra, including a day tour on the Ord River. We really appreciated Steve's flexibility, professionalism and extensive knowledge of the region. The itinerary for each day was tailored to fit in with our particular interests and also to safely accommodate continuous 40 degree temperatures. Early morning starts meant we could enjoy walks during the coolest part of the day, with opportunities to swim in amazing rock pools in the afternoon. We highly recommend the Silent Tours experience. This ethical tourism enterprise demonstrated care for environment, social responsibility and cultural respect - and allowed us to visit some very special places that we would not have been able to access on our own.

Steve accommodated a half day tour early this morning on minimal notice. Totally customisable without the constraints of some tour itineraries, we were able to start early to try spot some critters after expressing interest in the local fauna and flora. Fantastic morning cruising up and down Lake Kunnanurra, stopping at every amazing sight, taking pictures, chatting nature and the history of the area. The tour is very personable and relaxing, enjoying some secluded spots, local swimming and birds. Highlights were Steve’s bush tea, spotting the elusive Black Bittern, Merten’s Water Monitor and swimming at a secluded pool. Absolutely superb and a modestly priced tour for the experience, a must do while in Kunnanurra and surrounds. Thanks Silent Tours!!

From the minute we reached out to Steve at silent tours, everything was so simple and easy!
We had a 5 hour layover in Kununurra and decided to reach out to a local guide rather than sitting at the airport. This was truely one of our most special days in the Kimberly’s. Steve designed the tour just for us, there was no script or pre planned route. Every part of the trip was designed to suit our interests. We had the most amazing time hiking, swimming in water holes and learning about nature therapies. Finishing the day with a bush tea. We can’t recommend Steve and his tours enough!

We loved that Steve was able to accommodate us and our fitness abilities. We weren't rushed, and we were able to move at our own pace.
We managed to fit a lot into the day as we visited El Questro, hot springs, gorges, lookouts, and river crossings, with many photo opportunities.
We were very impressed by Steve's knowledge of the local flora and fauna.
All in all, money was well spent and a time to remember and look back on in years to come.

I had an unexpected spare day in Kununurra, with no transport, during my June trip around the Kimberley region. I wanted to go hiking and explore nature in the area so, at very short notice, I contacted Steve from Silent Tours. After finding out what I was interested in doing and seeing, he quickly drafted an itinerary for the day. The itinerary was perfect – varied, flexible and totally depending on what I wanted to do. Steve gave me full details on what I needed to bring for the day, arrived promptly, had all the necessary safety equipment and off we went to explore!
We spent most of the day hiking at Packsaddle Springs - the scenery was absolutely stunning as there were many lovely pools and waterfalls to see. It was great to enjoy a swim to cool off and I couldn’t resist taking heaps of photos! Steve was an excellent guide - friendly, experienced, very knowledgeable about the local area, provided a great morning tea and was clearly someone who loved being out in the wonders of nature.
At the end of an awesome day hiking, we stopped to see Ivanhoe Crossing on the Ord River before sitting and relaxing in tranquillity, to view the sunset from some beautiful sandstone rock formations in Mirima NP. What a great day out in such amazing surroundings! This day was one of the highlights of my 2 week tour of the Kimberley.
I can highly recommend Silent Tours if you want to spend any time out in nature to see the sights or visit the tourist attractions in and around Kununurra. Steve will arrange the half day or full day to suit what you want to do, whether that’s hiking or just relaxing and taking some easy strolls to view the scenic sights of the area, in between grabbing a tasty lunch or drink at a local business. I can’t think of a better or more relaxed way to see the scenery, experience nature and support local business in Kununurra.
