Had organised a group tour for our work team to explore the areas that we will be working in that included Central to Eveleigh. Such a fantastic tour with a true local Melinda who showed us all the new places and gave us a history tour of what was before. I would highly recommend Culture Scouts for anyone looking for a unique tour of the city. I've lived in Sydney all my life and had no idea about some of the rich cultural history hidden in its corners.

Being an Aussie and having visited Sydney on a number of occasions, I was keen to explore somewhere new. Culture Scouts Chippendale and Redfern Walking tour proved to be not only perfect for the regular visitor, like me, but also for new visitors, who are keen to scrape a little below the surface of the place they are visiting. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone remotely interested in architecture, urban planning, art, storytelling or just seeking a local's perspective and connection. Well done Culture Scouts and thank you Greg, our very informative tour guide!

ULTIMO AND CHINATOWN TOUR
The promise of dumplings got me signing up for this tour, I admit it. But then our beautiful guide, Nancy, took us to see so many exceptional treasures, inside and out. that I almost forgot about food. We popped into the Powerhouse, free of charge; walked the Goods Line, a fabulous pedestrian walkway that runs from Central station past the Gehry-designed UTS business school; saw amazing art instillations by Linda Lee and Jason Wing; and jumped queues to sample some of the best savoury and custard dumplings in Chinatown. Highly recommend this.

I took the Discover Ultimo and Chinatown tour and I loved it. I have lived in Sydney for 5 years and there are still so many places I haven't visited yet. I quite like the idea to be a tourist in your own city. Our guide was super friendly and knowledgeable, my friend and I had a great time. We learnt so much about street art. Funny how you usually don't pay that much attention to your surroundings - I will definitely check out the other tours.

Amazing and highly rec as a Sydney activity. I thought the ticket price was expensive, but after it, was very worth the cost. Made me understand so much about the city, history, and streets I would walk down and think nothing of. I've never left a Google review, although I rely on them (also, I am in NO way involved with Culture Scouts other than this one tour I just took) but it is worthy of a review, because I highly recommend it to both visitors and locals (have already done so to my friends here) The tour guide Melinda was AWESOME, is a twice published author about Newtown street art, knew the answer to every question asked, personally knows all the artists we saw (many who are now internationally famous..I had no idea), is a local to the point she grew up here and lives around the corner, is a independent artist herself, and just overall wonderful and personable. Only 4 of us on the tour, so it felt like a private one.

Took the Chippendale/Redfern tour and had an amazing experience! I really enjoyed the variety of galleries and modern art, talking to the local curators, visiting artistic shops and getting to see a different side to the city. It would have to be THE most efficient way to see incredible street art, good coffee, shops, alleys, and art galleries, from the insider's view of a Sydney local.

I recently spent two hours uncovering the hidden gems in the inner Sydney suburbs of Chippendale and Redfern with Culture Scouts and really enjoyed the experience. Sure you can cover this ground alone but our guide really bought the area to life, gave us lots of historical background and insider tips, and took us to places that even as a local I had not known about. We visited serveral small galleries and were able to chat to the artists/owners. The tour was fab and if you are an art lover I would definately add it to your to do list.

Had an amazing tour in Syndey from Chippendale to Redfern, from art galleries to modern art. We had a fantastic walk around the districts and got to know much more about the history, art and tradition of the places.
Not the usual touristic tour - very interesting and Highly recommend !
