I wish to express my gratitude to the management and staff of Burrangiri. It offers such a warm, professional and welcoming environment. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. It is a home away from home. It is a beautifully situated facility, with lovely light filtering into the lounge areas. It has all the comforts of home including a lovely outside garden which is totally accessible. It is a facility which is small enough to offer personalized time with each resident during their stay.

Our Uncle had 2 weeks respite there last year whilst his wife recovered from surgery. Whilst he has limited speech the staff were wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble. He was well cared for and well fed. The meals are memorable. The Chaplain was wonderful, as communication was limited, she used her Ipad for she and Uncle to share memories. This made all the difference to his stay.

In recent weeks Uncle has joined the Respite Day Care which means so much to him and the family. He is amongst a small group of people who are offered activities which they enjoy. Being able to socialize outside the home in a safe and caring facility is so beneficial to all. It is a win, win situation, the carer has some respite whilst the loved one has a “day out”.

Thank you Burrangiri for providing such care to our loved ones.

My father recently spent two weeks respite in Burrangiri. The nurses (particularly Toni) were amazing - kind, caring, cheerful, friendly. Dad even put on weight from the delicious three course meals he enjoyed. Thanks Burrangiri for your wonderful care.

We had my mother in regular respite care at Burrangiri for one week a month for a year in 2021-22. We couldn't have asked for better care - the staff were caring, careful, considerate and did their absolute best to work with my mother's physical and memory limitations. They made sure that she engaged in activities and sat her with people she could talk with at meal times. They were immediately responsive to any of the family's requests for care, medication changes, or more socialising.

The chaplain was attentive to people's spiritual and religious needs whatever denomination they belonged to.

The premises are ageing and being renovated bit by bit but the care and attention of the staff are far more important for residents' welfare than the premises which are safe and perfectly adequate to the job.

I highly recommend Burrangiri and its staff for aged respite care.

My 89yr mum spent 10days at Burrangiri for respite care. After being let down by other respite centres, Burrangiri has ticked all the boxes. The staff are very friendly, the meals are fabulous, the entire centre is well managed and very clean. My mum was very happy being there which made our respite time away stress free also. Burrangiri Respite and Day centre is absolutely the best care for the elderly we have come across in Canberra. Keep up the good work. We will be back ?

My mother has just returned from her stay at Burrangiri and loved it! She said the food was excellent and the staff so very caring. Yes she had to share a bathroom which isn’t ideal but all the good stuff made up for that. Thank you Burrangiri.

My mother attends respite once a week. She has a good time. Courtney and Lalita are very caring and keep the group entertained with different and interesting activities.
Midday meal is included.

My Dad has been at Burrangiri for a couple of weeks. This is his second visit there and as it is respite care, he is sad to leave. We visited there today and everything he stated about the place was correct. What a sense of relief that is. He is in great caring hands. He raves about the food, the care, the warmth, both physically and emotionally. Yes, it is a good place and I would recommend it to anyone.. Thanks staff.

I have help my friend for sometimes now. He spent some few weeks at Burrangirri respite place in Rivett. I can only say that this place is a 5 star hotel. I visited my friend everyday I did my COVID test and followed procedures.
Staff were 100% well trained, accommodating, the service and care giving to my friend was just top No1. I could not find a fault. Nurses were great In relation to medical care it was absolutely wonderful. We left today to a different place. My friend was in good spirit, put a bit of weight on. I can go on and on and on but in one word THANK YOU for the great work. Keep up the good work.
