This motel is primarily used by the mining industry. At a time when Kalgoorlie is pretty much booked out, I was lucky enough to get a room as a walk in. I was charged their standard room rate which was reasonable. The staff were friendly, helpful and made me feel welcome even though I caused them extra work. The motel is old but well maintained and very clean. The bed was fresh and comfortable and the shower was hot with good pressure. The air conditioner could have been quieter but it worked well and kept the room comfortable. They have a restaurant which I didn't get to try but I suspect it delivers what it promises. This is a nice place to stay. I think I was lucky to find a room available.

We decided to travel by train to Kalgoorlie to celebrate our wedding anniversary (our first night all those years ago was spent on the train to Kalgoorlie on our way to Melbourne). When we booked our accommodation at Midas Motel, we were impressed with the friendly and helpful service we received. On arrival (after 7 hours on the Prospector), we were greeted by welcoming staff at the front desk and easily checked in.
On arrival in our room we were surprised and delighted to see a lovely hand written card acknowledging our anniversary, a packet of chocolate mints and a bottle of wine (how did they know it was one of our favourites?).
Having stayed at multiple hotels and motels internationally and throughout Australia for business travel (some in excess of 15 times), this is by far to best experience of a hotel or motel going well beyond expectations.
Well done to Hayley and her fantastic staff.

Was clean enough. But couldn't use laundry machines were full of workers clothes and dryers could only be used by staff. For businesses that offer the package deal to there staff. Was a poor selection of prepared meals to choose from. And the fruit available was old and unappetizing for the amount they charge would have expected better

I stayed at the Midas for work for a week the room was large and the bed was very comfortable they provide food and the food is actually really good they provide lunch also for the person working. Shower was nice and the water was hot. The staff at the Midas, especially the kitchen staff are always so very happy to see you and are very kind and very helpful.

A good clean tidy hotel, rooms are well appointed, clean & fresh. with air-con & heating. Fridge, microwave, kettle & toaster in room. Staff are friendly & know the area & are happy to help you find your way around. The on site restaurant supplies breakfast & dinner & is Fully Licensed. Meals can be room service if you prefer. Only a short walk into the main area of town.

Reasonable price for Kalgoorlie, service was very good because when I mentioned the light in the bathroom was flickering, we were straight away upgraded to a better room as the maintenance man had gone home. Nice big room plus separate kitchen area and sink. Nice and clean and mattress good. Staff very courteous and friendly.

Comfort Inn Midas provided everything any traveller would require. Central to town on Hannan Street and very quiet. Rates reasonable for large room with all amenities. Cleanliness exceptional. Judy was very obliging, blew a globe in our bathroom and she organised new globe promptly, then gave us Lindt chocolates for our inconvenience. Would thoroughly recommend Comfort Inn if you are looking for excellent quality accommodation at a reasonable rate.

This is a nice, clean place with everything you could want. A small fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and dishes and cutlery so you can do some self catering. A table and chairs. It is an older place but comfortable.Interesting layout. The toilet and shower is seperate from the vanity sink which is in the same room as the little kitchen set up.||This Motel is busy with the guys in high vis clothes who work in the Mining Industry. On week days they leave early for work, so vehicle noise as with all Motels that cater for workers. As others have commented we could hear the people in the next room talking to each other through the adjoining door. It is only a short walk to the attractions, including the Red light houses in Hay Street. The Palace Hotel is worth a visit, a lovely old Hotel with a nice Restaurant upstairs. We would stay here again.
