For potential clients, Gastronomy may seem like a good agency, but I'd like to provide a perspective from the other side.

About 10 years ago, I joined Gastronomy.

I started about a month before the birth of my first daughter, working full-time as a boardroom barista. I informed everyone beforehand that the birth was imminent and could happen at any moment.

One day, I texted to say I couldn't come to work because we had to go to the hospital, but it turned out to be a false alarm due to a difficult pregnancy. This happened on a Wednesday.

The following week, on the same day, it happened again, but this time it was the real deal. That afternoon, I received a call telling me not to worry about the next day and to enjoy my time with my daughter.

However, the very next morning, I got a call informing me that I shouldn't worry about returning to work because they no longer needed me. The call was early morning on 15/May/2014 when I had my 1 day old first daughter in my arms.

I'm sharing this testimonial to give clients an insight into where they're investing their money, and to help them determine if it aligns with their values as well.

Sources have informed me that the person who made this "business decision" was the same individual who knew me and my friends personally. Food for thought.

We used gastronomy for our family’s New Years party in mid January for 60 people and we had a wonderful time. Our family room and terrace were transformed into a white clothed lunch with long trestle tables decorated with fresh fruit and greenery. The food was wonderful as we knew it would be and the best part was the fact we didn’t need to clean up, this was all done by staff. Thank you to Carly and her team for looking after us.
