Located at 900 Camden Valley Way, Catherine Field, New South Wales, Australia . An amazing place that dates back to 1788, when the mfirst fleet came to Australia. The property has existed for 214 years and is 50 acres. We were given a private tour and a morning tea of beautiful scones, jam and cream. The tour guide gave us a complete history of the homestead which was fascinating. It’s a completely beautiful and scenic place has animals, including goats and sheep. There’s ample parking and toilets and very wheelchair accessible. Would definitely recommend a visit. Certain parts including the rose garden are heritage listed and they can hold up to 5 receptions at the same time. Convicts from early Australia settlement helped build Gledswood and in fact 5 convicts lived there in its early days.

A Dream Come True at Gledswood Homestead & Winery

My experience at Gledswood Homestead & Winery for our wedding was absolutely phenomenal. From the moment we first visited to the final farewell, every detail was impeccably handled. The venue itself is beautiful, from its rolling grass, to it's rustic vibes. They have multiple options for ceremony, drinks/canapes and reception areas! They also have cute sheep and goats!

The staff were incredibly professional and accommodating. They went above and beyond to ensure that everything ran smoothly, from coordinating with vendors to making sure our guests were comfortable. When they say you do not need to worry about anything on the day, they mean it. I personally picked a package that included live music, a cake and a DJ. With that, the staff pretty much handled everything with them. Aside from the meeting you have with your DJ to plan your music and testing your cakes hahaha but I am sure they would have been happy to help!

The food and drinks provided were delicious and we received rave reviews from our guests. The catering team did an outstanding job catering to dietary restrictions and preferences without compromising on taste. IM NOT JOKING, I HATE LAMB but they did such a remarkable job with theirs that I had lamb as an option at our wedding, which if you knew me, you'd understand how amazing it had to be.

Originally when we did our tasting, I wasn't happy with the desserts that were featured that day. They have many options but on tasting day they pick 3 random ones for you to try. I was honest with them about it, and they gave me additional options to choose from (not try but to pick for the day) and they came out PERFECT! Every single guest mentioned how wonderful the food was and how generous the portioning was.
*I will say I was nervous to pick a dessert I hadn't tried but they came out amazing!

One of the standout aspects was their care, I felt like they really just wanted our day to be perfect, like it was their own. The team took care of every little request we had, making our day truly memorable. Even after the wedding the staff helped box everything up nicely, so it was easy for us to transport all decorations home. (We chose to DIY decorations, and they were amazing)

Overall, I cannot recommend Gledswood Homestead & Winery enough for anyone looking for a magical setting for their special day. Our wedding was everything we dreamed of and more, thanks to the wonderful team at Gledswood!

This hidden gem is absolutely stunning. We saw a few function spaces, shed structures, and even farm animal around. There's also a coffee cart and an ice cream truck on the day we went. They open to the public for events on selected days, and from what we heard these tend to be very popular (very easy to see why!). We did the wine tasting at the cellar door which has outdoor seating. All the staff were super friendly too.

Gledswood is a beautiful backdrop for a wedding. The staff are all very nice and receptive to needs. I would like to give a major shout out to Karen, who is the unspoken MVP, taking care of us and being super attentive to our needs.

The events team at Gledswood Homestead were amazing right from the start. They helped us along the way with questions and requests and changes. The grounds are beautiful and offered multiple locations for our ceremony. The wait staff at the reception were super flexible with our ever changing timeline. The perfect location for our perfect day.

Amazing venue for a casual drink on the weekend or a more formal affair like weddings or engagement parties.

Also love they have food trucks that stop by on occasion.

Warm and cozy seating in the book room was adorable too.

Came here for a high tea with the girls. The food, the crockery was divine! And the ladies were very attentive to us all while allowing us to have our privacy. It was a private high tea session. I loved how we got a history of the high tea and the etiquette. It’s for a rustic vibe, which is a bit different to a typical high tea but I loved it. One thing I would suggest is to have an option to have the high tea outside, as it was a lovely day and I would have preferred a shaded area outside rather than being inside with old books, but other than that it was amazing!

DO NOT BOOK THIS VENUE. I attended a small, intimate wedding with family and friends, and the experience was deeply disappointing. They closed the bar over an hour early, citing “RSA” rules, but didn’t give the bridal party or families any heads-up. Watching them take all the alcohol from tables and even grab glasses from guests was incredibly off-putting and killed the atmosphere.

The manager was rude and dismissed the family when they sought clarification. It was disheartening to see how they treated the bride and groom’s family, who were simply looking for answers & how to remedy the situation.

At one point, the bride had to beg for a glass of champagne to celebrate. What should have been a joyful occasion turned into a frustrating mess.

Shutting down the bar without warning is unacceptable, especially at a wedding. I hope they take this feedback to heart to avoid disappointing more couples in the future.
