What a lovely place to visit! I truly enjoyed the walks, scenery, and the mine tour.

It felt like I was in a time machine and travelled 200 years back. The staffs were very friendly and knowledgeable. I learned the highs and the lows of the gold mining history.

My absolute favourite activity has got to be the gold panning. It was so fun even though I only got to pan a tiny little speckle of gold.

I would love to revisit and spend more time exploring every area and watch the demonstrations.

I visited Ballarat Sovereign Hill two times in a big span between (around 15 years) and enjoyed both all the same.

There were many things to learn, and I felt like going back in time. All the gorgeous rustic architecture, the feeling of being in real old town, mining the mini river and walking around experiencing everything is awesome.

I think there are tours, but I prefer roaming by myself. Perhaps I didn't go during peak season because the crowd was okay, I could always find space away from people, taking pictures of gorgeous corners and places.

Love the souvenirs as well, bought a bunch of copper pencil sharpeners with awesome designs, from rustic piano to clock tower and horse cart.

For me, I easily spend half a day. The place is suitable for all ages.

Great place to visit, enjoyed half of a day there all the staff are friendly and fantastic, good interaction with the tourists. The guy doing the candy making demonstration was brilliant, they had a couple classes in there and on a couple occasions said please be quiet or leave, this was great for those that wanted to watch and learn so they could hear.
Oh and the Vanilla slice in the bakery is very nice.

Overall, the experience was satisfactory. The tour was well-executed and requires a minimum of 3 to 4 hours for a thorough exploration. The team has done an excellent job in preserving the traditional ways consistently.

Amazing recreation of an old mining town. Highly educational and enjoyable for all ages!
Allow for 4-5 hours on a good weather day.
The self guided mining tour can be physically challenging for some, but the guided mine tour was fantastic for any aged person. It showed the difficult and challenging life the miners lived back in the day.
Also, don’t miss the fun filled magic show, which was a hit with kids as well as horse carriage ride, bowling, and large play space.

Top notch. Highly engaging and a wonderful look into the past. Lots of hands on activities and things to do. Really enjoyed the Gold show and confectionery making. The mine tour was fantastic and very enjoyable. Lots to see, do and learn!

Great place to visit. An outdoor museum! You learn about the Gold Rush, the influence that the Chinese had as well as our First Nation's People. If you visit Sovereign Hill do a tour of the mine. We did the Labyrinth tour. Very, very interesting.
